Yeah, I'd stretch and or snap that Diamond at 6.600 lb in a heart beat. Thanks for the link though. Yeah, the thing used to be o-ring for those of us lazy enough to ignore the lube job. Plus they had to start making them stronger and lighter for the stronger bikes. Now they've gone x-ring and w-ring for less friction and additional sealing with the X and W configuration points. Probably more of a selling point but in theory........ don't we always want the latest and greatest
Terry, it is an RK. It's a strong MF'er (like me haha). Rarely have, errr, had to adjust it but that was with the puny 812 that was probably mid 70+ HP. I'm anticipating close to 100hp this go around. The offer is appreciated but I'll go ahead and bite the bullet and get one ordered. This will make a nice spare/replacement for the other bike from which it came.
I was just doing a little research and ran across a good deal on a Tsubaki Sigma o-ring 110 link at 10,000/10,600? It stated for 'off road'. Any idea why it's labeled that way vs 'and/or for street'??
Since I can't ride I'm now playing with adapting a 750 A solid state reg/rect to replace my original units. May be as simple as replacing the connector and combining or neglecting the extra red and green. I'll report back on this little project tomorrow. Couple fluid leaks to square away too. Oil line at engine? and either front brake caliper seal or brake fluid.
