Opened the cases after work. ("After work" is usually beers, food and women....but not for me)

I got a reminder to NEVER use Hondabond as extra sealer around the oil seals. I'll use athin layer of Hylomar blue next time around theese seals as before.

REAL PITA to remove the upper case when the crank followed and stucked with prim chains. Crank oil seal at ign side and final outgoing axis, crank was stucked in upper case due to the glued by hondabond oil seals.

I had to use brutal force to hammer down the crank, a soft distance between the opened cases made it possible

Ha ha, looking at your pic reminded me that I've got a great workbench under piles of crap that I've never cleaned off in years PeWe, I really must get my garage in some kind of order, I'm picking up my latest CB750 purchase today, and my work bench is big enough to lay the whole bike out on, if I could just expend the energy to clean it up first............ ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Same here....the workbench was full of junk 2 weeks ago. I removed all stuff so I could do the oil pump restore. It's too easy that the bench and other work areas fills with parts, garbage, tools etc.

Figured out why my neutral light was flickering and then died, LED bulb gave up.  Got some decent used gaskets for the stock fork ears, think I'll do those in the morning.

Not for the purists this one. However they might get some comfort knowing the entire bike was scrap worthy prior to this.
Rebuilt engine to standard specs ( not like the other one) but has been rephased to a 277° firing interval instead of the standard 360°, sounds ducati-ish.

Hall effect ignition and vm34 carbs and custom 2-1 pipe. Surprising how fast this little #$%* is....

How do you like those Neway cutters?
I find them excellent, easy to use and do a great job - if you take your time.
Used to do lots of evo Harley heads with them with great success.
You need to make sure the pilots are a good fit for concentric seats, new pilots can be expensive I just spin my own in the lathe.
Using them infrequently at the moment but will be advertising for work soon at my modest shop, depending of levels of work I get, I may upgrade to a single blade cutter system for my mill.

Regards.

Yes they are over-engineered, Yamaha's first 4st.

Ditched the chrome shock covers. Shocks felt decent...fast compression, rebound dampened well. Only 14K on the 40 years old shocks. :)

Ha ha, that is sweet! One bike I've never owned, but I've ridden a couple of Yammy 650's, and they were a great bike, God, I remember them when they were new! I love that bike mate, if you ever get sick of it, send it to me! Cheers, Terry. ;D
