Everything is all buttoned up... had to replace the headlight fuse, but everything works and the AGM battery was still above 12V, being stored indoors all winter. Great battery!

BUT THEN...

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

It's all still holding, but this one holder for the new headlight ears CRACKED. I've contacted the seller for replacements...  >:(

Just need some fresh gas, and I'll do a clear tube check before riding.

Replaced my rectifier with an ebay one that looked almost new.  I don't know if the PO did it or if it was done before him, but the one that was on it had shorted at one time, and burned most of the insulation off of 2 of the wires. It still worked ok, but had electrical tape wrapped around the bare wires.

Bought another one........... Shhhh! Don't tell my wife! ;D

Nice bike Terry!! Color almost like Candy Sapphire Blue ;)
Must be perfect for a loooong ride going up north like Henry Cole....
http://docuwiki.net/index.php?title=Riding_the_Australian_Badlands

Ha ha, thanks Pewe, what a life that Henry has, rich sponsorships, new bikes to ride, and a film crew to film his every move! Well what a long weekend I've had, I drove 2000 Kms, but somehow found time to celebrate my 56th birthday, get some cool gifts, take my Harley for a ride, pick up my FJR1300, and get back to Canberra in time for another week at the old salt mine.

I was lucky on Saturday, I was wearing my open face helmet and a fcuking big bee flew into my face, and jammed himself between the edge of the helmet and my temple. I rolled into a gas station and took my helmet off, and the big nasty poofter fell onto the concrete, so I gave him a stomping. I think he couldn't quite curl his arse around to stab me in the face with his stinger?

Anyway, I towed the big blue beast back back to Canberra last night, unloaded it and rode it around Canberra, then tonight I rode it to Yass to have a big feed of Chinese food. It was around 140 Km there and back, and I had a great ride, except for the occasional dopey car and truck drivers who weren't used to my bright headlights, so hit me with their high beams, then looked very surprised when I returned the favour and blinded the idiots.

Still, all in all a great ride, the weather has cooled down a heap after 10 straight days in the high 80's and 90's, so I'll be doing more riding than driving over the next few days. Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

The roads are OK down there? Not too long and straight?
I saw most of the episodes with Henry Cole and the weather was on the hot side. I think it was in mars. He needed a Cool jacket, Cole is not enough as he is. Must be coooler.... mesh jacket and trousers?

Terry... I may have asked before, but is that trailer a foldable model like Harbor Freight has in the states? Sweet bike, by the by.

Ha ha, well I think this is the last bike I'll buy for awhile Jerry, I don't have a barn like Eric's to park 80 bikes, in fact I've been seriously thinking about selling off several of the other bikes (I'll keep all my CB75"'s of course) because just sitting is probably doing them more harm than good. The wife really couldn't care less, after 37 years together she's kind of used to me.... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

Thanks mate, yep it's a folding trailer, and after several 400 mile trips to and from Melbourne nothing's fallen off it, so I like it. Only thing I don't like is I can't see it behind my car when it's empty, and I've almost forgotten that it's there at times? Cheers, Terry. ;D

Thanks PeWe, that's a nice looking helmet. Well we've got lots of pretty straight highways, but lots of twisty mountain roads too, so there's plenty of choice. I'm debating whether to ride the big Yam to Melbourne this weekend via Cooma, Bombala, Cann River, and Bairnsdale (my home town) google that route mate and you'll see why it's one of my favourite bike roads. ;D

Nice... I gots to get me one of these.

Speaking of Melbourne... all eyes on that city this weekend!  My hope is that the F1 newcomers from the US can finish the race and Ferrari can go 1-2 and take down the Silver Arrows this year.  Wishful thinking, I know.
