Who ever did it, they wear a 10 and a half wide work boot!
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

It was windy as all heck but it is hard to believe a close to 600 lb Katana could go over then domino the rest. I was at work and got the text and came right home.  The Katana and PC had been picked up but the blue Suzi and 550 were still entwined on the ground. Both of those bikes are customers, the 550 was intact but the Suzi has a dented tank, smashed right control and broken brake lever-gonna cost me quite a bit to fix.  My insurance agent says I'm not responsible for any repair as it was an act of God but I don't work that way so I plan to fix his bike.  It was not a pleasant call to make but the owner was very understanding.

The Katana, which was close to perfect, now has a broken mirror and slightly damaged upper fairing.  Mirror is close to 200$, may ride sans right mirror for awhile.

PC suffered the worst:  lower fairing destroyed, windshield smashed in pieces, right mirror housing also in pieces, upper fairing slightly damaged.

I   started a thread on this "Act of God" in open forums.

So sorry to hear that Larry. Make my stomach hurt a little.  We had a couple of fierce wind storms here lately and I was twitchy, could hear trees cracking and breaking across the street from my house in the woods.

I can imagine that a bike on its centerstand can fall easier than using the sidestand. Time for iron rings fastened in the ground, a strap around the frame that is tightened in the rings when bike stand on its sidestand. As done on ships,  ferries.
If my bike should flip over, expensive :(

D-Rings would be better because then they're more out of the way when not in use.

Finished tear down and cleaning of the motor. Finished gathering parts. My dad's is coming over tomorrow to help put if back together. Still needs a lot more work but hopefully it will be running tomorrow.

My CL100 fell against the drivers door of my 40 chevy coupe. totally my fault my phone was ringing. I thought it was secure and let go, the side stand was wadded up in a rug and over it went. A quick blizzard had popped up and I was trying to get everything back inside but not where it goes.
Paint damage only but it needs paint anyway. No harm to the cl100.

Back in the day as a young whipper snapper I tipped my Suzuki 125 over on my Dad's Chrysler New Yorker in the garage. The fear of God immediately took hold when I realized I had to confess my sins to him !! Can't remember how mad he got but I am still alive   ;D  Helped a little that he rode a T500.

More XS650 work.
And removed the worst bearings I've found yet in an old bike.

I know I shouldn't, but I bought another one! Aint she pretty? Thanks Dale! ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Yes, really nice one. Found it in a crocodile nest out in the swamp? Must be fun to open the engine and see whats inside. It can be a nice cam, ported head and other goodies.... ::)
Rear rim look like the 16" I had, spokes snapped all the time due to the wrong angle and too short spokes. X around the wheel. The bike got really bad handling with 5 spokes snapped.
My Local Honda dealer tought me how to lace the wheel and encouraged me to do it home.
