I know, that's why I couldn't pass it up. I really wanted alloys for my stalled project, so when I found this bike for such a reasonable amount of money I had to buy it.

I haven't brought it home yet. I paid for it and took the title on Sunday afternoon, but I won't have a chance to actually get it until probably next Saturday. I will likely spend all day Sunday cleaning it up, replacing the seat, and doing some other maintenance. I need to order new cables and brake hose too, but i won't do that until I decide what bar I want to run. It has a drag bar on it now, but I am thinking Norman Hyde M bar.

Another K0 Sarge, well done! What numbers? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

That bike was storred on a mezzanine floor in a barn here in Germany since early 90th, imported from US.

Found that by accident, the seller offrered some parts on local ebay.
During phone calls i learned he has a barn full of bikes and parts. We took her out with a snatch pulley

Lots of KO/ SC parts are missing but some are sitll there, e.g. correct early brake master cylinder, even the old short neck brake lines.

That bike will need a full resto.

What a great find! Well done Sarge, I'll have to settle for my 1969 diecast, but I'm envious of your good fortune! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Thanks, Terry.
Negoticiation were difficult and bike not a bargain. Not to be compared with prizes that our US friends pay.

Will first finish my current diecast project before SC- resto gets serious.

Nice! Well I dropped off two wheel rims to get stripped and re-chromed for my K1 project around 3 months ago. While I was waiting I bought two new DID rims from Yamiya for 199 bucks. Who wants to guess how much it cost for my old rims to be re-chromed?

Rebuilt my K3 guagues using new faces and lenses from Marcel/LeCram/CB750faces.com (ignore those pesky spots, they're on my phone not on the gauges).

Nice find Sgt... now everyone take a llok at the pic he posted of the blue frame... Note the welds..!!8 carbtops ?
That is what my sandcast was like, even the welds on the rear footpegs where way rougher than on the later bikes, like even a 72.
I got to ask, does it have long choke lever and #28 carb tops ?

I have a set of "28" carbs with thin cables and short choke lever.

The long choke lever on "28" carbs was only used on # 1 -  # 1120

Thats too much.

I paid € 240,00 for two rims (de-chrome, grinding, re-chroming) here in Germany.

At least you saved that old DID rims and dont have new ones with those the ugly script on the flanks.

Thanks Sarge, I only had them done because they were in pretty good condition apart from some surface rust, and they'll be fine for the K0 as they're the early "rolled" DID rims. I'll use the new rims for the K1. Cheers, Terry. ;D

If you want to repaint the letters white thin down some white enamel and use a syringe to fill the letters.

Here's how they look if you go all the way.

aerosol paint stripper and powder coat them.
