Well what a great day! This morning Cliff brought his little pickup over (we call them "utes" in Oz, but I don't think my Seppo brothers would understand if I said that Cliff brought his "Ute" over) to collect the Yamaha FJ1200 and my big black 'Wang", that I donated to his charity, "Good Deed Garage".
We loaded the GL1200 onto his ute, and I rode the FJ1200 and followed Cliff to his place, where we unloaded the 'Wang then came back to drop me off, and I also gave him another GL1200 engine, plus a GL1000 frame and wheels, so he can get his creative juices flowing building some weird Steampunk/Bobber/Brat/Tracker creation.
Anyway, with a little more space in my garage (only 6 complete bikes and 2 CB750 "projects" in there now) I'll be able to park my Harley Sportster in there, and my 1969 CB750 K0 as well. The weather was great, sunny and 66 deg F, so I fired the Harley up, and I had a great ride, then stopped at my local Returned Servicemen's League (RSL) club and played a poker machine while drinking alcoholic ginger beer, and won a hundred bucks, woohoo!
I got home, and decided to get some chicken for dinner, and while I was sitting in the drive thru my mate Fred rang me and offered me a complete K2 (in bits, of course) for 1000 bucks, and he's also throwing in a brand new, NOS K0 tach, still in the original box. So much for making more room in my garage, but at least it'll be nice to have another CB750 in there. Cheers, Terry.
