Swapped the oil pan from my project bike, turned a pin hole in my header collector into a dime sized hole that required mu meager welding skills to patch, replaced the oil pressure gauge installed by a PO including the pressure tube, and finally replaced the oil cooler supply and return hoses.

Creative locations for mounting without disassembling too much are welcome. I'm thinking between the battery box and rear fender, stuck to the fender with some industrial velcro.

Had one on my 350F, and one is on my 750

Easy to install, and switch back to points (if needed) Just seconds really.
The Green wire, which grounds at the points plate....i just added an in-line quick disconnect with the added bullet connectors so the points cover doesnt have to be removed. Its all hidden under the tank.

Own it, rebuilt it, love it.

Model paint. That was first attempt.
Perhaps my mistake was giving them to a buddy who is very skilled at model building but apparently not very skilled at painting tank badges.
His paint job looked terrible so I stripped them back.

This is my second attempt from scratch. We'll see. Probably clear coat after finished with the white.

My CB750 K4 was in pretty good shape, but PO was starting to café it. Not enough budget to fully restore to orig, but close facsimile is my goal.

Well - if I can wire a PAMCO up and get it working right "FIRST TIME" they must be easy to install.

Woo. Installed it last night.

For those interested in the HondaMan Ignition and are running an electronic tach, tap your tach lead to the ORANGE wire.

I stuck it behind the battery box to the plastic fender with some industrial velcro. I unhooked my condensers but left them attached under the points plate just in case I ever need to revert. I also need to adjust the timing now. My previous issues with 2/3 being off might have been due to the condensers. I was only able to time correctly by closing the gap to 0.011". Anywho. It runs and revs just fine, but I need to recheck things, and that will happen on Monday!

I took my CB750 K3 for a ride

...........after loosing ignition on #1 back in September of 2015. I pulled the head, re-sealed all of the pucks and threads, heli-coiled a few holes for the tower-fasteners, new head gasket and cover-gasket, checked all of the rocker-pins and rockers for wear (replaced 2 rockers on exhaust) and SWITCHED the stock cam (after 72,000 miles) for an F-2 unit.

When everything was buttoned up, I rolled the bike off of the lift and touched the starter. It fired immediately

. One carb was acting up for a few miles but then all was good. When I got back to my garage I checked for leaks and found NONE

The goal was to not only get the motor running again, but to cure some minor oil leaks and try to quiet a ticking sound that had developed a few thousand miles ago. So far.........so GOOD

Fixed a pin hole leak in a tank (hopefully).

Then spent some time trying to get oil pressure - in between reading advice on the SOHC4 forum on how to get oil pressure...

Put some new shoes on the XS650 rims and greased the caliper.
