Started taking more things off Rhonda...

MAC exhaust is off. Going on soon is the Delkevic. Still need to make a reducer pipe for the cone engineering bit.
Carbs came off and 42 slows went in.
Old oil drained, new oil added.
Started slowly picking away at the rear wheel truing. Started by tightening everything so they ring. Closer to true already! Many were very loose.

I think my oil pressure switch is leaking. How do I get the hard old rubber cap off it? Heat gun?

Started taking apart my seat some more. Sprayed a coat of gloss black last night, then another this morning. Very rusty from some PO tipovers and leaky battery! Will spray underside tomorrow.

Wow, I thought that Craftsman was good quality Eric? Lucky I didn't buy any! I'd wait until you have the engine installed, then run it up to temp, while spraying some liquid wrench etc into the screws, and that should un-stick 'em! Cheers, Terry. ;D
With my luck Terry it probably won't run after all my farking around with it    :)

Run it w/o exhaust?!  Or remove 341's from another bike and install em on this? Doubt he wants to do that.

I do have some stock Honda head pipes that the rotten mufflers were cut off.  Just slip them over the spigots sometimes to test out an engine for its first start before going all in with real pipes. Nothing like the sound of 4 straight pipes ------

Just rode it to work this afternoon.  It's 77 degrees F here and she started very easily. I was completely off the choke and settled into a nice idle in maybe 30 seconds. A beautiful day to be riding. Less so this summer in the high humidity.

Yep, I've got my old 4 into 2 drag pipes that I bought when I was 21 hanging up in the garage Eric, and I still use them to "test run" an engine, the baffles have mostly gone to God now, but they're better than no pipes at all. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

No pictures, so based on the Internet moto, it probably didn't happen...

New plugs, lowered the needles a notch, and fitted new grips to my K2. It feels like a new bike.

Well Mark and his dad Tony came by this morning to collect the K1 and K2 "projects" I bought last year, so we spent a couple of hours dragging parts out and finding bits that were missing, etc. They left happy, and I was happy with a big wad of 100 dollar bills, it's been an expensive Christmas, so will be nice to put it all back in the bank again.

As usual though, moving a huge pile of parts hasn't really made a dent on the mess in the garage, so I only just had enough room to park my bikes. There are still 6 in storage and 2 under covers, plus I took Mike's bike over to Jeff at Ace to fix a couple of things I don't have time to sort, so I might have to sell off a few more to make some room............ ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

Hey Terry - remember your shed's strange TARDIS like properties...

... no matter how full it looks you can always get another bike in there.

I spent yesterday and today working on Hondas. Tweaked my CB750 "Terries TARDIS special" K2 front brakes and went for a fun ride, relocated the Motogadget M -lock so it works quicker and then rebuilt a set of old CL450K3 forks using new old stock 4" extended fork tubes (I have a chopper build underway).

I might upgrade the front brakes on the CB750 a little, a friend of mine bought a CB750F2 project and he is already busy fitting a Cognito Moto USD front end on it, so I can buy his F2 front end and have dual front disks.

Just need to modify those few small parts for the speedo drive to work under a rotor.

Now where was that post ....?
CB750K2 (only slightly modified)

Ha ha, you're quite right Cliff, as much as I need to sell at least another 5 bikes so I can stop paying the storage fees, if something interesting came along, I'd probably jump at it....... F2 forks? Hmmnn, the problem you'll have is fitting the F2 calipers over fat K2 discs, or are you installing the Comstar front wheel with it's thinner discs (which aren't interchangeable with a K hub) too? Cheers, Terry. ;D

And the oil tank is matching as well.

After cleaning up/truing  wheels and installing/balancing new tires I set to rebuilding the carbs. New gaskets, needle valves, o-rings, vent and overflow tubes, insulators and boots. Installed refreshed parts back onto the bike over the past several days. Getting closer.

New seat cover! Combo of binder clips and wife's clothespins to hold the edge down for cementing. Tonight will test-fit the old chrome trim. If it works well I'll cement it down.
