Good choice Lars, I don't know how much longer they last, but I like that I can ignore the Motobatt in my Harley for months and it still spins that big Vtwin over no problems. I just put one in my CB750 too. ;D

Good thing I bought that F3 instead of you so you could keep the money in your bike acquisition fund.

Put a new fender on the K6

This reminds me that I might order one while still available. My K2 got the NOS fenders I have bought for my K6.
DSS has relatively OK price. The fastener kit is not cheap either with correct Honda bolts, washers and rubbers.

I bought it from CMSNL. Came to $200 with shipping, which was the lowest price I could find for an OE fender (61100341700XW). DSS sells it for $225 before shipping. The best guy to get the other bits to mount it is jtmarks@hvc.rr.com. He sells on eBay but you can buy from him directly and save a few bucks.

I'm always looking for cheaper. JTMarks are about as cheap as it gets, from what I can tell. There doesn't seem to be a lot of margin in the OE parts.

NOS CB750 parts from USA will often cost a fortune if order from Europe. Price is usuallay higher from the beginning, than add $50-150US in shipping PLUS 31% on everything in customs with VAT. Sweden has 25% VAT  ???

I just signed up with MyUS.com Per, I buy something in the US and have it shipped to MyUS.com in Sarasota, Florida, they then send it to me via the cheapest shipping method. I bought some Kawasaki KZ1000 parts, the seller wanted $99 USD to ship them to Oz, but only $10 to Florida, they then sent them to me via Fedex for $56 and I had the parts in 4 days, as opposed to 3 weeks via USPS, the sellers preferred method. ;D

I've been lucky enough to have done a deal with a guy on FB to trade my spare VTR1000F engine and some cash for his RC51 engine, rear wheel, swingarm, electrics etc. I love my RC51, but I have an idea to build an RC51 based "Street Fighter" with that beautiful 137 BHP V Twin, albeit with a much comfier riding position.

Anyhoo, I had to remove the "F" engine from the frame today, so armed with my Dewalt battery rattle gun I tore into it, and was rewarded with a full strip down in under an hour. This engine is a huge lump of metal, it makes a CB750 lump look quite compact, and last time I did this was in 2016 when I had to do a frame swap on my 2006 VTR1000F and had a sh1t of a time which included crushing a finger and actually breaking the bone, so I was stoked today when it all came apart so easily. I love my little rattle gun! ;D

Hi Terry, another project started?
What about your 2 Kawasaki projects? Any progress there?

G'Day Per, well not really mate, I've collected pretty much all the parts I need for the Mad Max bike and the ZZR1100 just needs finishing, but I keep getting side-tracked? I bought a big zero turn mower last week with a blown engine, so I installed a big V twin engine on it and got it running today, and tomorrow I'm doing the 500 mile road trip to pick up the wrecked RC51, but once winter settles in I'll get back to the big Kwaka's.

I wish I could afford to retire Per, I'm only 59, but I've got enough projects to keep me going full time until I'm 100! ;D

Installed my weldless frame kit, swapped the stock fork legs for the F3 legs. Further modified my speedo drive to work with the dual disk front and started to figure out the caliper bracket spacing. I also painted the muffler bracket and rear MC brackets and the frame where I cut it for the kit. All in all a productive day
