Yes sir those Hindle pipes are top notch...just put one on my Suzuki GS1100e.  Made me fall in love with that bike all over again.

How do you fall out of love with a GS 1100E? 8)
We put RS 36 carbs and a Delkevic exhaust on the 80' and now we would have to be really desperate to sell it even though it's a crusty looking old dog.

The seat looks very good too.

Did nothing to my 750 or 350F due to being in Delaware to attend my uncle's funeral.

He was a decorated Vietnam U.S. Marine Veteran and was given the full honors of a military service.

Was very hard listening to the taps and 21 gun salute, due to me being a gulf war veteran, myself.

My sincerest condolences……John D.

Rolled the K4 out the garage the other day and took a pic of it in the bloomin' garden!

This was rather odd, I did my normal starting routine and it fired up rather quickly, idled for around 10 seconds and then died.  Tried it refire and battery went flat. Rolled it over to my Tacoma and attached jump cables, it then was turning over but wouldnt fire...WTF??  Choke was still on full so turned it off and it fired right up, guess it was not getting enough air?
It typically will only cold start with full choke.
Anyways, geared up and had a great ride!!

They’re all a bit different. My K1 needs full choke to start but just as you described, I have to move it off within seconds. Leave it on and she dies.

Yamiya air box save. These things ate expensive! The previous owner had mentioned he didn't like the quality of the Yamiya stuff and I can see why. I don't know what he did to do this but it was a surprise to me. The middle plate in the airbox broke apart and the bottom was badly cracked. He did some repairs and I continued by massaging a middle plate from an OEM airbox. After some dremel work, filing, trimming and test fitting it slipped into place and is much stronger now. JB Weld clear epoxy fixed the cracks and welded the bottom repair back into place.  Looks like new now. Hooray!

JB Weld clear is good stuff. The day before a 4 day ride I had the fluid level window die on the clutch master cylinder of my 84' Sabre 700S. I ended up glueing dimes in to replace the clear window. I let it cure overnight and filled up the brake fluid in the morning. That was in 2017 and the dimes are still in there with no leaks. 8)

What did I do to my bike today?? Well, I finished the tank and finally got THAT little bastid off the front axle (circled in yellow), at the expense of the odometer - she just did NOT want to come off! A heavy duty impact wrench finally got the lug nut off, but MAN...! Luckily I have a spare, seen on the left there, but Dang! Rust never sleeps...I beat on that thing like it owed me money and finally got it to budge...yes, that's the internal bushing for the odometer, with the associated remains of the odometer itself. The Immovable Object meeting an Irresistible Force, if you will. The tank though looks like it's covered in glass, it came out real nice. (SprayMax 2K Clear).

Did this the other day, made a bracket ( or three ) and mounted the pit bike oil cooler which would live behind the XR mini fairing but I'm not convinced.
Don't really want the oil lines running that high or having a 180degree bend in them.
I've got a much larger one that I'm now going to mount to the horn bracket on the frame below the headstock.
The inlet/outlets face the right direction and it should work better being bigger
i blame Terry

What did I do to my bike today...? I don't have a pic of it, but what's that feeling you get when you rebuild your 550/4 engine, get it back in the frame and find the oil passages you forgot to put in still laying on the workbench...Yah...Always Time to Do It Twice, Never Time to Do It Right, as they say...Yes, I got them back in. But Still....GAAAAAAAHH!

...pulled 2 engines to overhaul them complete.
One engine has a little danage, just saw it after I pulled the head, have to weld it so I only start to do one engine and the other later.

I see the damage to the motor-mount area on the right side of the case.
I imagine the threads on that motor mount bolt were very tight and resistant to allow it to loosen..

Thinking the PO used to much power and the nut moved and broke a peace out, I will weld it and it will be fine before stripping off the paint and do a new paint job.
I did not try to loosen the small bolts, as I saw the damage I stopped working on that block and did the 2.ed.

That nut may be so badly corroded onto the bolt, that the force applied was enough to break the case. Might be worth getting a small dremel disc cutter onto the nut to cut it through and get some penetrating oil into the cut. The oil and released tension might help it unscrew.
