Made my very own mono or mano meter for syncing the carbs.  Didn't really work, but did notice fuel pouring out of one of the carb air intakes  .  At least this means i get to spend more time getting to know my carbs tomorrow

Looks awesome.  What paint did you use on the motor? 

Reinstalled the brake pedal and linkage, hooked up the clutch cable, observed that the PO routed all the control cables wrong, cleaned up the oil lines, took apart the kick start lever to clean it up and promptly dropped the rusted ball bearing.  Spent 10 minutes looking for the ball bearing on the shop floor.  Mostly found that I really need to sweep..   Then I took apart another lever to get another ball bearing.
And lastly mated the shiny carbs to the shiny motor.

Thank you.  I used the Duplicolor hi-temp silver.  Just the case. The jugs are "natural".
I mention that it's really shiny now only because I know this is as good as it will ever look....

I got some shrink tubing but it's too small for my needs.
I think I'm going to order a new connector plug for the alternator pigtail so I can replace the shredded fabric covering.

You can remove the plug case quite easily.  A small jewller's screw driver will release the tab that locks the socket/blade in place.  Makes it easy to make sure everything is nice and clean on reassembly.

Yes, I already have the old plug off but it's pretty brittle and cracked.

Vintage Connections has exact match replacements (also sockets & blades).  I used them on my build, OEM quality and fit.

Its kinda lika a golf ball mate, the ribs reduce surface tension and increase speed.......    That's my story and i'm sticking to it....

Using "just the right" is a race application, for streetriding you will need both....for balance.

I just paid Joe for 2 sets of ribbed sidies, and now I hear a rumor about an "Uber Cool" new top secret sidecover that will apparently make us drool like imbeciles and have us sending him more money, damn you Joe, I was trying to save some money! Oh well, so what if I can't afford to eat, I need to drop some weight anyway!
