i like it,looks like the ones used in the old aussie movie "stone".

Yep, remember when we referred to them as "Stone" fairings Dave? Of course, they were (and still are) copies of BMW's R90S fairing. I had one on my F1 back in 1978, it was horrible, actually caused speed wobbles. I didn't have that problem on my BMW though, go figure.......  ???

I've been having problems with the K2 clutch grabbing, it's unusual, because it wasn't a problem before the rebuild. I installed a new cable when I rebuilt the bike and adjusted it correctly, but I was getting sick of the loud "Clunk" into first (hot or cold) and it was pretty "notchy" on a ride as well. This morning I "bit the bullet" and competely disassembled the clutch, but couldn't find a thing wrong with it?

Bugger! I degreased everything (including the plates) and re-assembled it dry. I started the engine, selected 1st and "Click", it was beautiful! I tried a few more times and with every one, it got clunkier and clunkier. Bugger again. I suspected that the oil was the problem, it's that shiit Valvoline XLD, and the only other time I used it in a bike (My Kawasaki Z1) it was awful too, so I'll dump it out and put something more suitable in tomorrow. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Nah, the clutch was perfect mate, I was surprised at how good it was actually, and as I said, it worked fine before the rebuild. I'll change the oil tomorrow and see what happens. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Do you think it is strong enough ... JK     That is one very solid looking brace.  Love the fender too.

it is my nature to see a glass half empty and to worry that it will crack and cut someone and its all night in the emergency room and the infection causes amputation...I thought the worst but  anyway my 650  wouldn't start so I took the tank off and checked the choke and it was off the clamp and unhooked from the lever so I fixed it and it fired right up in the cold.  I then fired up the 550 and for the first time I had both of them running at the same time...hooray for mr. grumpy.

I'm about to kick my 550 over.

Very frustrating day indeed.

Anyone got the tab tonight. JAGster needs a drink.
Cafe Racing is mainly a matter of taste. It is an atavistic mentality, a peculiar mix of low style, high speed, pure dumbness, and overweening commitment to the Cafe Life and all its dangerous pleasures. Went on the toy run which is held every year in Adelaide South Australia to raise money for the needy kids over christmas. 4000 bikes turned up on the day. I had the only stock 500/4 there,it was a great day.

Pumped up my back tire in the rain while listening to the cop question my #$%* neighbor. He thinks my bike represents the increasing urban densification of the neighborhood and is clearly an aesthetic disruption that he should not have to look at. This #$%* is really testing my patience.

I started Kate today. Temp right at 9 degrees, she started on the first try. Let her run till she was good and warm. After she cooled down I covered her back up. I have to keep her out on the porch because I don' have a garage and momma won' let be keep her in the kitchen  :'(

The battery tender seems to be doing a great job!

The fork brace isn't completely finished but it fits and it was dry here yesterday so I threw it together and went for a ride. The front end is so much better.
