Topic: What did you do to your bike today ?

Been walking by my 750 for 3 or 4 weeks in the garage. Last week we got about 6" of snow and the last several days it's been in the low 50's so most of the snow is gone. Today it's mostly overcast and about 60 degrees I couldn't hold back so I took her down the road for about 20 miles. It didn't take me long to realize the road was still damp so my bike got splatter some but it was worth it. Wiping it down now

Tacked the new carb intake bracket inplace for a test fit on the Roadstar, long way to go before it`s back on the road.

I really like those Yama-Harleys mate, nice looking engine, are they bevel drive cams (the tubes look like early ducati bevel drive tubes) or are there pushrods hidden in there? Cheers, Terry.

Hey Terry, Happy New Years mate... twin pushrods hidden them tubes.  Yeah Harley boys given Roadies a double stare on the highways, usually as we roar by them

Thanks Steve-O, I can't take much credit for it other than the carb intake bracket.  The bike was designed and built by a buddy of mine.  I bought it from him two years ago, and I smucked it up this summer so I am rebuilding it back to original form, with just a few mods.

Seat pan 90% built.  Need tail-light assembly to complete.

Installed a used ebay r. master cylinder on my 77 cb750f that cost WAY less than the rebuild kit that didn't fix my original. Also miraculously fixed my front end alignment problem that I hoped meant a bent fork but thought might have been the frame by straightening the rear wheel . Now all she needs is tires, muffler and a shiny, new corbin gunfighter seat!

Finished the berrymans dip and ultrasonic clean.  Put the rack back together.  Already bench synced.  Gotta clean the last four boot straps and mount the carbs to those soft carb boots.  Gonna drink a fat tire and go to bed,  leave the rest for tomorrow.

How the ultrasonic cleaner works or the bike, lol.

The ultrasonic cleaner worked good.  It left some dirty water so it did something.  I really just needed to clear out the the old liner the PO left me - berrymans got rid of that perty quick.  I had lined the tank twice and cleaned the carbs twice.  I had forgotten to clean the fuel lines both times so the liner crept back in and made the slides sticky.  Not fun having a sticky throttle.  I hope I got it all out this time - this is the third cleaning.

I just used tap water and 100% lemon juice. I did not want to use simple green as I have seen where it leaves a coating that I did not want to clean.  I did not have anything else and a forum search showed someone else to use lemon juice and I had plenty of that.

Now if yer talking about the bike, hopefully I will have her cranked up tomorrow and it is not too cold to ride it.
