I joined over a year ago, and have been lurking ever since. This is my first post.
Owned several dirt bikes in the early '70s. In 1978 I decided I want to ride cross country, so I bought a used 77 CB750. It only had 1,800 miles on it. Added full Vetter accessories and a Time Out trailer. In '79 I took nearly 3 months vacation and rode from Calif to NY, through Canada and back. Almost 10,000 miles.
My daughter was born in 1985, and my son in 1987. So in 1987, with 36,000+ miles on the clock, I retired the bike. Now the kids are grown. Daughter graduated college last year and son will graduate next June.
The bike has been sitting all these years. 8 years outside and the rest in the garage. So now I am embarking on a restore. I will post a thread in the Project Forum.
