Hello all. My name is Preston. I live in Modesto, California. Right at the moment I own an amazing 1979 CB650 with a little over 9000 miles on it. I love the bikes, the styling, everything about them. I am planning on getting a CB550 if one ever comes up for sale again. Anyways, I am looking forward to talking to everyone and learning as much as I can about these bikes and what more potential they have in them. Thanks for reading.

Hey guys, I got a few pictures of my bike. They were from my phone at a gas station. So not the best. They are in my gallery.

Read a couple of your other posts here mate and one of the best ways to free up horsepower in these bikes is in the heads. Larger valves and port work free up good horse power in these bikes, add pistons carbs and a decent pipe and they are as quick as the tricked up 750's. There are a few guys on here that race these bikes and there is a wealth of information in these threads, so search away and welcome to our wonderful community..

Thank you Mick. Just wondering, where can I even find Carbs for the 650? I have been looking but haven't found anything that would work. The rebuilt kits are running a premium to buy now. At least here in California they are. Any ideas on where to find some good quality carbs that wont give out?
