SOHC4/Gixxer owners
« on: November 21, 2009, 01:45:11 PM »
Any GSXR1000 (2005-08) owners that have a spare wristpin and can measure length, maybe weight too??

Trying to find some decent lightweight pins for my 572, though these will likely be tooo long.

Terry in Oz should have one..

You should be able to shorten them, with a grinder and a square, if you are careful..

brent

i managed to secure an angle grinder to a lathe and cut wrist pins with very high precision, worked like charm

I simply bolted a thick ally plate to the grinder using the thread for the side handle and clamped that to the X bed of the lathe

TG, good idea, but my friend has a grinding attachment for his lathe I'll use.

I'll get a pin and see where I end up.

Wouldn't it be better to run buttons instead of circlips?
