Thanks for the replys. That gives me some creative direction/inspiration. I like your build alot shiznits75. Very clean. If you dont mind me asking, are your rims painted or powder coated? Im planning on having my rims be Red on my 500.
well the best way I think to minimize scratching the paint off would be, install new tires if your planning on tires, keep them deflated , tape the tire off, bearings and valve stem. then paint them. no need to unlace if your just painting.

Im pretty new to painting rims. Ive never done it before. So, I would have to mask off the spokes as well, correct? and the hub. I will be using a 16" rear wheel on my 500, and im wondering how effectively I can paint it (being that the 16 rim has a raised portion where the spokes attach). Not that it cant be done, but that my skill to paint it and make it look good might not be there. If I can paint the rims with the spokes attached, that would be great! I am on kind of a budget with this bike.
