Wheel and Tire help needed.
« on: November 11, 2009, 11:52:00 AM »
I've recently bought a 1973 CB350F. Loving it so far! Right now, I've got what I assume are stock wheels. For tires, I've got Cheng Shins?

Front: 3.50/3.75H18
Rear: MN90-18 (4.00-18)

Little dumb when it comes to motorcycle tires, so sorry if I ask something stupid! I'd like to go with an updated-tread sport type tire - but something thats very cost effective. I also like the look of same sizes on the front and back. What are my options in sticking with the rims I have (assuming stock) and would there be a reason to go with a wider rim (I'm guessing just for the front)?

Thanks for any advice!

~Justin

bridgestone battle axes, i hear they are great. and they supposedly  make them to fit. finding them might be hard unless you order them on-line.

if not dunlop make some nice tire too.
guess who?

Avon Roadriders....have them on my 74 360t and my 78 cb550k.........I'm happy with them but they are not the cheapest tire out there
1978 cb 550k......stock,my first re-build

Loud pipes suck.......

If you buy something.........pay for it !
If you sell something .......ship it !
If you say you are going to do something......do it !
If you have a question about something......ask it !
When the seller answers ........let him know whether you still want it or not !
If you receive something .....let the seller know you got it !
If you get something and are happy/un happy with it .....let the giver/seller know !
If you have any kind of issue,shipping/receiving/quality/price/shipping charges etc !

Thanks guys. If I wanted to have roughly the same height and width on the front and back - I'm I looking at replacing my rim? Whats the limits on the stock setup?
