The pozi-drive won't fit.  Britbikes are famous for pozi-drive screws to hold their engine covers on.  Same issue with them as the Honda JIS screws.  A pozi-drive screw actually has 8 slots in the head: the traditional "+"  like philips and the smaller "x".

I had only 32 years of corrosion to deal with and had tremendous success at removing all my engine screws and bolts. Sprayed every screw with a penetrating lube before even thinking about removing it. Using a #3 Phillips bit (of which I've seen different ones) in my cordless drill set on high torque/low speed, lean HARD into it to prevent slip and out they came. Now my bike spent the last four years in a shed, and before that no one knows, but likely not exposed to the elements like some. Perhaps I just got lucky.

I ordered mine right away too.  It's good to know I am not the only one that did not know about these things.  I have a feeling that this thread is going to save alot of guys alot of time and heartache.  I will admit that all that slot cutting I did with the dremel just felt wrong.  Shoulda known...I guess the lesson learned is.........POST FIRST...WAIT FOR THE EXPERTS.....DREMEL as a last resort.

Thx to 754.
