Waterproof gloves
« on: November 14, 2009, 05:42:26 AM »
Looking for good waterproof gloves and found Hugger on the internet.  They sound exactly like what I am looking for and priced reasonable.  Does anyone have experience with them?  They also have jackets and very innovative chaps that are waterproof as well.

Thanks for any input

Never heard of them but I am also interested in a waterproof glove. I used a Scotts Goretex winter motorcycle glove recently in heavy rain/sleet/snow for around 3 hrs and it was dry inside.

Will be interested to know more about the Huggers..

cheers
Andy

I wear my ski gloves (Goretex) if the weather is cold and potentially wet (or stay home and drink  ;) ). Blocks the wind. Stay dry. The cuff pulls over my jacket and I snug it up. Very bulky and reaction time is decreased however.

Similar idea to Jerry's - I use Goretex mountaineering shells.  These are just mitten shells made to go over gloves or mittens.  Just a layer of Goretex and nylon, with a gauntlet cut and closes tight on the sleeve.  I wear them over my insulated riding gloves.  Since they're mittens, I only really like them for slab riding.  They fold down small, though, and are handy for emergencies.  I've thought about trying my Patrol Gloves (ski and winter climbing gloves), but haven't done it yet.

Olympia and some other companies make insulated gloves with Primaloft and Goretex.  Have you tried those?

I had some nice Honda gloves that were warm,
but useless in the rain.

One of these days I'll be in the market for some good gloves to use in the rain.
