UNI foam filter oil?

I just purchased a UNI NU-4055 air filter. Can i use some K&N spray-on air filter oil i have instead of buying the UNI oil? application method the same?

I would assume that they are the same and applied the same way.  The K&N stuff comes in spray on and squirt bottle.  I bought the spray stuff to use on my pod filters on the advice of someone with success and I wasnt happy.  I probably put too much on because it choked the bike and I got stuck a mile from home.  I might give it another shot though.
