question about keys
« on: November 16, 2009, 03:06:37 pm »
Can anyone tell me if the same key that fits the ignition will fit the fork lock?
Bike is a 1974 CB750K4! The PO gave me 2 different keys...one is supposedly for the fork lock. However, when I spoke to a guy that has original keys for sale, he stated that the key that operates the ignition and seat lock will also work in the fork lock! Not sure I want to experiment and have the thing lock up on me! Any Help?

Yes, my K4 ignition key works in the fork, and seat too. There is a possiblity that someone did change one of the locks at some point.

The fork lock won't engage without the proper key.  If you can lock it, you can unlock it.  Experiment freely!
