coil problems

mornin' all,

I've discovered that the spark on plugs 2&3 (or the lh coil) is intermittent and weaker than the spark coming from the plugs connected to the other coil.

 I just saw an ad for pointless ignition stuff. at this point, (I haven't got the bike started yet) would changing out for this newer stuff give me any reliability advantage?or should I stick with the OEM?

also the coil wires are very short, bending and stretching them may explain the weak spark; how do you lengthen these type of wire?the ends are molded to the coils...

There are several threads on this site that will answer your questions, 1 is on page 16 of this forum.  I have spent days just reading threads and the info in here and the greenspun files is amazing.
These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

Well, it's not likeley a coil problem. Start from the bottom. What do the points look like? Are they clean? You've got four snap connectors between the points and the coil. Make sure they aren't corroded. Put a test light on the points, and if it stays lit or dims when the points close, they may not be closing all the way, or may need cleaning.
