Anyone fancy writing a piece for the HitchHikers Guide?
« on: May 19, 2005, 05:37:45 AM »
My kids love this site: www.h2g2.com

For a bit of fun, I typed SOHC into the Search Box:  Nothing

The only piece on Honda motorcycles is this on the Bros: www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A272873

Anyone intereseted (and capable) of writing a similar witty piece on the SOHC4 and it's impact on the history of motorcyle design?

Another good place to do some collaborative writing on the SOHC/4 Hondas would be here:

http://www.wikipedia.org/

There are pages that cover some of the single-overhead cam Hondas, but there is room for improvement.  The cool thing about wikipedia is that the site sees a lot of traffic.

It is possible to add a similar feature to the SOHC/4 website, by the way.  I just don't know how much interest there would be in that and whether it adds anything particularly useful vs these forums and the comment posting that is possible now.

I can well imaging what old Douglas Adams (rest his soul) would have come up for a SOHC robot. Make Marvin look cheery. ;D

I'll do some research and give it a shot in the next couple of months (before riding weather is so good I'll be out of the house every spare minute) unless Michel leaves nothing more to be said. Maybe I should let you proofread it first?

Ok Started.

Most of the information I plan to leave is disingenious and non-informative, v-a-v seriousness.

So, is that ok? I figure most people can obtain free information here.
whaddya think?

Almost a quote
"There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly why a certain group of individuals have an irrational love for a 30 plus year old motorcyle, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened."

-sorry Douglas sorry.

My son just recieved the complete works of Douglas adams for Christmas. I fear he is going to use convoluted logic to desist from shoveling driveway, as in the books.
What should I do? ???

good one 6pkrunner, maybe you should add that to the dictionary. It will confuse non-believers. ha
