Newbie from Toronto!
« on: November 19, 2009, 03:56:11 AM »
Hey everyone,

First time bike owner here!

Just thought I'd say hi as ill be browsing this site and asking many questions.

I just bought a 1976 400F from a friend ($50) which had been in storage for at least 10 years...looking to tinker with it over the winter and hopefully get it on the road in the spring/ summer.

Cheers

If you buy something.........pay for it !
If you sell something .......ship it !
If you say you are going to do something......do it !
If you have a question about something......ask it !
When the seller answers ........let him know whether you still want it or not !
If you receive something .....let the seller know you got it !
If you get something and are happy/un happy with it .....let the giver/seller know !
If you have any kind of issue,shipping/receiving/quality/price/shipping charges etc !

Welcome from north of Oshawa!  I have the earlier 350 Four that is similar to yours.  Post pictures of your new bike and be sure to ask if you have any questions - this site has a wealth of information and very helpful, interested people to assist.  Don't know if you are new to riding as well, but if so send me a PM and I can maybe save you on some local licensing  instruction from RTI.

welcome from Cambridge Ontario.

We need to set up a meeting in the spring for all the area members. Or perhaps at the Paris show??

Kinda got rained out last year. I hope to have my bike on the road for this show. It would be nice if a bunch of us could go.

Don't know if any of you GTA/Ontario riders are members of the CVMG.  http://www.cvmg.camp7.org/  That is the national vintage organization that hosts the Paris Rally as well as other local events and regular gatherings.  The Great Pine Ridge district, for instance that I belong to, meets every Sunday morning with lots of vintage bikes often showing - except this time of year :'(.  The CVMG has a "special interest" group for Cafe Racers; perhaps they should also have one for the SOHC-4.

The CVMG is a national group all across Canada.  It consists of various local sections (Great Pine Ridge is one of them) and for your area there is also a section, probably the Credit Valley one.
