cylinder stud thread pitch?
« on: November 19, 2009, 08:18:07 PM »
can somebody tell me what the thread pitch is on a cb750 cylinder stud? im pretty sure its 8mm but im not sure of the pitch.
i think i have some bad threads in one of the stud holes and need to buy a tap to try and clean them up.
                                                                       thanks.
Funny thing about regret is...... its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you haven't done.

hey phil- i thought we had in fact determined it to be 8 X 1.25... that mangled tap i had was right, it was just, well... mangled. i just remembered that curtis has a metric tap and die set too. i'll check his tomorrow.
