What Grips do you guys recommend?
« on: November 18, 2009, 07:20:14 PM »
Im looking for new grips to go on my 72 cb750.  I just bought some bar end mirrors and need some ideas.  Of course Ill be looking for grips that have open ends so the mirrors will fit too.  Thanks in advance for your suggestions! :)

Get you some tittie grips and cut the ends off. These are old fashioned tittie type grips and are soft yet firm and not pumped up and stiff. Feel real good when you squeeze them  8)

Yeah, I think thats the fancy name. Kinda like sissy bars are now back rests and crash bars are case savers  ;D

i have a set of oem style grips on my k4 750 and i like them fine. i havent ridden more than 75-100 miles with them yet though. if someone here (i forget which user) gets the alternator upgrade with the 750a unit figured out i might like to go to a set of bmw heated grips. theyre pretty low draw and they work great, i have a set of handlebar switches from a r1200gs sitting in my toolbox already to go.

Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.

+1 for Turismo grips, just like my dad had on his CB450 when I was a kid. And I just cut the ends out with an x-acto knife to mount my bar-end mirrors. Very comfy.
