Classic phishing.  No legitimate company will email you asking for your CC information.

I've checked there often and have never been asked that. Maybe someone else is coming on as them and trying to scam you and whoever.

Hello, I'm mr van der merwe from south efrika, and would really like to buy your bridge. I tell you what, I'll send you a cheque for 120,000 dollars US right now, without heving sin the bridge. So 90,000 is for the bridge and 30,000 is for shipping. If you can contact my specialist bridge shippers mr dipstick youvebeenshafted, pay him the money and he'll come and dismantle the bridge and ship it here to me in southefrika. Satisfaction guaranteed by all parties. Wot you say, man? Deal or no deal?

A lot of people fell for that one here in the UK. Initially, banks accept the cheque and debit your account, but there's a loophole in the banking system which says if the funds from an overseas source are not forthcoming within a month, your bank can pull the funds. Meanwhile you've paid mr dipstick god knows how many thousands of pounds for shipping costs that never happened.
