PO obviously had no clue how to install hand grips on the bars so he used hose clamps to keep the grips on. Also PO must have lost the keys because factory ignition switch had been butchered to remove its tumblers in the hopes that it would work with any key, that didn't work so a toggle switch that was just hanging off the harness was used instead.

I had a CD175 the PO had attached rear crash bars to. Of course the mounting points were top and bottom shock mounts.  ::)
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

The PO had flipped the bike endo 3 times at the end of the first year he bought it. Only had 4250 miles on it. Seeing I was able to get all parts at cost. (Honda shop sponsor for racing) I rebuilt the bike and did my own paint scheme and had only $1800 in it when they were still worth $3000+. It now has a tad over 60k on it. It's been a great bike! 83 Interceptor.

When I got my 750 K4 the PO told me he couldn't get the front brake to bleed down.  I opened the master cylinder and he had the fluid IN the diaphragm.  That wouldn't seem so bad to me if the guy didn't own a successful auto repair shop specializing in Hondas and Toyotas!

I'd call him a glaring example of a PO.

Chopped the bottoms off a set of perfectly good fork ears and extended the front forks 4"

I have the tubes if anyone is interested. They're in pretty good shape and were in perfect working order when I bought the bike.

This is not my bike but in fits perfectly into this thread. Can you believe this :o :o : ??? ??? ??? Poor and neglected 750K6. I ask the owner why in the @#&$ did he mount the battery on the luggage rack and tie it down with bungee cords. Don't you know how unsafe that is. As serious as a heart attack he said the motorcycle battery was to expensive so he found this used lawn and garden battery for free and cut the factory harness and spliced other cables to it so they would reach back to the rack. This as to be the dumbest and the most lame brain thing I've ever seen.

The luggage rack isn't even attached properly, it's on a hinge. I'd be interested to see the results of some heavy braking.

" Why does anyone get offended by what someone does to their own bike? I dont get it. "

You made me think about it after I cheered knowing someone else would like to know what these control freaks are up to.
Every time any owner strips whatever precious Honda part the horrified purists parts go up in value. That's not the part that bothers them.
What bothers them is they sat up late at night, their breast full of wonder and estrogen, unable to sleep, dreaming about their lovely darling and all her glory... and next thing you know someone else doesn't share their emotional deluge and their reaction is they must spread their mind museum as far as they possibly can, taking over as much of the real world as possible.

My PMO (previous moron owner) Must have read Hondamans book about the mod to the stock air box.
You know, drilling holes in the baffle on K1 and later bikes. Only this twit drilled holes in the bottom
center of the air box allowing air to bypass the filter. I am currently rebuilding the worn out engine that
ran for thousands of miles on unfiltered air.   He also ported the carbs!  He actually ground out the throats
of the carbs to help them pass more air --  destroying the venturi of the carbs and turning them in to
aluminum recycleables.

It would seem that they're's a twin to that "other" one w/ the battery on the back ?? awh man...I wonder if they thought it would be easier to charge while the bike had a non-functioning charging system...? or maybe they were using the battery up there to jump start other cycles w/ bad charging systems ???  ::)  ::)  :D

But why he limited himself to such small battery with all the space on the rack?  How about 1000 cranking amps.

The PO gave me a cb500 for nothing.  It was a parts basket bike without a title.  It has been the love of my life and I have brought it back to road worthy and learned a lot about how to work with CBs. Now my major ride.
