Advice needed for '73 CB350 brakes
« on: November 20, 2009, 09:34:48 AM »
So I've been looking around and haven't seen anything specific to 350s, and thought I'd ask. I'm looking to maybe replace/upgrade the front brake caliper on my '73 CB350F. I've read that a caliper from a 75-76 750 will bolt on a 550 or 500? And that it's a bit bigger/better?

Question is - what are my options with the 350F if I want to swap calipers but keep the rest the same?

Hard to get the piston for the front caliper on this model. Honda wants $100 for the 45107-323-020 piston. Not me $$$$ >:(

Yeah I was hoping that I might could bolt a caliper from a later CB straight on, maybe even one slightly larger (like the 750s)

The problem with mixing calipers and master cylinders is that if you go with a bigger caliper, the master cylinder won't pump enough fluid to move the larger piston.
Go metric, every inch of the way!
