Mystic, I don't think it helps anyone to attack anyone in these forums. Let's all calm down and act grown up.

Ladies!!!! >:(
Play nice or I'll take your toys off you. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

If you have a technical question, post it.  If you have a personal question or comment send a PM.

Once again, take your own advice.  Speaking of "comments related to your written position", your written position is that the use of tapered bearings indicates someone with less skill (post 14) so by your own definition my comment was not a personal attack.

Again whatever.  Take your own advice and either ignore me or PM me.

Again returning to the actual topic of this thread (steering bearings [the original question of their removal was long since answered]), All Balls steering bearings retail for $44.33, less shipping.  So it seems I was wrong earlier when I said that the cost difference between these and stock was negligible.

Stock bearings cost twice as much as tapered, have less load carrying capacity, are more difficult to install, are not sealed as well, and don't last as long.

I don't see any sense in using parts that are both more expensive and inferior.

Damn, that settles it, tapered bearing for me when it is time to switch.
