::)......As The Dyno Turns.......sounds good, wow a midrange curve finally on the money.....rut ro....the mains are WAY LEAN...didn't finish run.Installed 130's largest we had with us.Still too lean, but only making 60 RWHP?? ??? Somethings up!!!! Quick compression check..all good...knew they would be! Leakdown later today.Carbs have way more air coming into main jet holder/e.tube.Ran a 150 and 170,still @ 60 RWHP.bike didn't miss ,but acted like box was on full retard or no advance ???.Plugs clean, wonder now if wire, box and coil all went together? New coils and wires fine.Going to send this one back to test.Putting on Dyna S for next weekend and maybe Rockingham. ::) We'll get it right next weekend and then race or install 2000 again. It's what we want. Going to install Dyna air jet(their size) smaller mains and start over with the carbs and their needles and then adjust. Frank, hold the food(I'm in) just make mine a double shot first! ;) ;D   Off to unload and get ready.  :o,Bill....that's racing!

Much better to do all this work in the shop and on the dyno than paying out a lot for test and tune. The feedback from the dyno sensors are way more acurate than the butt dyno in most cases.

Don't discourage guys, you are walking this puppy down to its knees.

And is it next weekend that you're out ? Oh shet :(

Sam. ;)

It's the 28th and29th Sammy.

And the SHET is deeper than you might think.

The pistons let go because the head gasket let go because a couple of studs let go because the stud threads in the top case let go because we have to bore the top case to accommodate the larger crank and sleeves and that reduces the amount of metal around the stud threads.
We need to modify another set of cases.

SHET, SHET' SHET >:( >:( >:(

Cheers,
Brian

Rob if your interested, I'm happy to record the process. If you want the info I'll PM it to you with the patterns we use.

CycleX will have a solution for that soon.

I hope it's engineering is a little more user friendly than their locker clutch.  (Correction. They where happy to discuss short falls in the unit and have addressed the problems it just p!ssed me off at the time)

By the by did the Pay-pal get through?

Yes to back on the dyno on Saturday.
Bill and I have replaced the coils, wires, and ignition.
Carburetors have gone back to stage 3 Dyna jet specs.
Finally have the carbs working good but when the ignition starts to break down at high
Rpm,s the dyno dosent detect this. Lots of head scratching.
I am off to virgina this week end so it's up to bill and Brian
To get it right and they will
We have had to hit the reset button so we keep
Trying and it will pay off. Keep the faith sam.
I will call you Saturday when I hear from bill

Dyno time will give much better data. Glad they will be going before the ROCK race. I'm confident the results will be good this time around.
