Well the day has been consistent so far
In the low 90s with a 10 to 15 mph head wind
Bill has his best light at .100 and 109 to 111 mph
At the finish. Times are 13.1 to 13.5
Bike and bill are getting Better as we go.

Will post later

Sounds like fun was had by all today, even with the not quite as expected results.  If running off a 'normal tree' gets your reaction times back into the .0xx range then JW's predictions look golden. 8)  12's tomorrow. ;D ;D  Looking forward to the next update.

Bill,
Yes, I've run a pro tree. It can be a .500 or a .400 Pro tree. To cut a good light on that, you have to stage deeper. (further forward) You get a shorter runout - The timer starts sooner because your rollout has decreased. Unfortunately, there is no free lunch here. Deeper staging will give you a quicker reaction, but the shorter rollout will give you a longer ET.  What you gain in reaction, you will give back in ET.
The higher temperatures and the headwind have probably slowed you up to .2 seconds. The gearing change is what has lowered your mph at the finish line. The 60' times are a little bit better, but they aren't yet consistent. Ignoring the reaction times today was in your best interests. Practicing like you will be racing is what you're looking for.  Moving forward to get a good reaction isn't what you will be doing the rest of the weekend. If you've kept good temperature/humidity records with your passes, you should be able to dial in the bike tomorrow under similar conditions. The way that the bike seems to be running, you still need to race both ends of the track. Beat the opponent by a little, never by a lot.

                                                                                    JW

All,
Bill lost first round at 5 PM. 13.30 dial in . Ran a 13.521/109.74 mph. Had an .031 reaction time. Lost to a Hayabusa in the last 20 feet. Morning time trial was a 13.418/112.10mph with a .057 reaction time. Due to the late start, Bill decided not to buy back in. He's back to the hotel now.
