Seems to have gone real quiet over there, any up dates Guys?
Any joy with the new camshaft?
And now for the bad news. Due to a pending heart attack, the doc has put me on a realy strict diet :'( this means I could be weighing about 140lb by the time I reach Valdosta, watch out Mr Benton.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sam. ;)

What the heck you say???? Don't make us come over the pond to be sure you're taking care of yourself Sam. Just listen to the doc and be proactive- you'll be just fine.

Hey man, seriously take care of yourself.Big-Jim was coming over but now we're looking @ next Sunday.Sam,heres a pic for YOU!!! ;) ;D Bill

Don't tear it down yet fellas. You've got a race right in your back yard on this weekend beginning with time runs on friday. Its an Amercian Legion charity event with cars and bikes. Eliminations are on satuday with one time run that morning.

Loney Motorsports does plan to attend to represent Sam Green Racing and we do expect the ATL team members to be present and accounted for in the staging lanes on Samauto right along with us.

Check details about the race on the ATL website

Did I miss something about a race
It wouldn't be the first time

Mid July at Atl?

I am waiting for some mail from Mike to send to Dyna Tech to get a new 2000.
Will be getting over to bills next (This Sunday)
going to wire up the MSD box, put on the 50 tooth sprocket.
do some re-jetting and check the valve clearances
I need to call Brian down at the dyno shop and see if hes up and running also
little things to do if anything for the race in November but is there a race in mid July?
I seem to be working in the my shop a little too much so I haven't keep up with the scuttle butt
Looking threw the microscopes to much I guess

Umm, not mid July, we race this weekend at ATL for a special event put on by the American Legion. I just found out about it on friday and started rounding the troops up this week so we can go support this charity event. Load Samauto in the trailer  and come up I-85. No excuses will do. Its race time!!!!!!!!!!!!

You speak for your self little willie, ;D  the only time I went slower was when I dropped down from the VFR400 (12.7) to the RS175 (13.4)(not bad from just 134cc and not running at its best ::)) so don't tar me with your brush. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Happy Fourth Of July!! ;D
Sam,no news from Frank yet.We didn't make it(had to work).
I did mount MSD box and pull carbs for jetting Friday.
Big-Jim came over yesterday(after we met for lunch) and
we worked on Samauto.Jim jetted carbs,40 pilots instead of 45's.
He also leaned needles one postion.I was busy wiring up MSD box.
Excellent instructions and helpful info.Should be 40,000+ volts! 8)
We got the igntion finished and carbs, but still have to change rear
sprocket(48 to 50) and install carbs.Hope to do that today.
We did test for spark.....nice,fat and bright!!! ;D
Heres some pics:

Time for MSD box......only purchased it in'92!

It fits! ;)

Wire and lots of it! ;D

It works!!!!!!! ;D 8)
Time to finish up. :)Bill

Sam. ;)

Sorry Team, i'm just logging in to see how you guys are doing with Samauto. The Loney Motorsports Division of Sam Green Racing  didn't fair to well at Commerce this weekend.  I'm unsure why but there was a very light turnout of racers in all classes for this event. In fact, our crew made up over half the field of the total 9 bikes :-(.  There were 4 regular ATL Dragway racers in attendance and 5 with me including the wife.  Long story short- the wife went out first round to Paul Cavanaugh on his turbo Busa due to a late reaction time. I went to the 3 round but lost on a breakout pass out of the throttle.

All in all a good weekend because nothing broke and no one got hurt.

MSD installation looking good guys. You will like that ignition.

Looking forward to seeing you fellas in August. We may return to ATL to race before the season is over- we made our crossover license passes for NHRA so we will be legal for the regular bracket program once we submit the forms to the division office.

Now you've got an ignition that indestructable and reliable. Samauto will see the ET's you've been hoping for.

Hi Keith, I'm OK, how are you, is the chainsaw running again yet?
Billy is just putting the finishing touches to the auto after ignition problems when the Dyna system went tits up.
They are trying to get it ready for the Rock in August and I'm in the process of booking my flights for Valdosta in November.
Hope you're keeping well buddy, and hope you will try to make Valdosta.

Larry from Dyna-tech just called and here is the up-date

Both pick ups (1/4 and 2/3) are going to be replaced for the drag bike at no charge.
as well as the rotor. The white coils are fine

On my own 2000, both pick ups are going to be replaced as well as both coils (Mini coils) and the rotor
I am going to buy a new 2000 to have as an extra as Larry informed me that they are only going to be making 15 more Dyna 2000,s
for the SOHC models and thats it. You can still buy the Dyna S but no more 2000s. Call Larry at Dyna Tech for more info on this.

He did tell me there might be a new system in a year or so to replace the 2000 but hes not sure what it will be.

everything should start to ship in the next week or so

Good for you guys. I spoke with Larry yesterday and got the impression they wouldn't warranty my failed pick-up although supposedly that wasn't the final answer. ??? He told me the pickups were three years old, long past warranty period, what did I expect? It ran for two hours, but I have had the new system on the shelf for two years waiting to finish the build. Bit of a sticky situation I suppose. Too bad they can't tell how long they have run.

I better order a pickup plate pronto by the sound of things, my 750 supplied the plate for my race bike while I waited for a replacement.

Mark one more down with a failed Dyna 2000 . I went to fire up the bike today after it has sat for a couple weeks and it wouldn't fire. Troubleshot it down to loose connections on the 2-3 pickup. If I held the wires in just the right spot the bike ran fine. It was easy to find because the red timing light on the module just stayed on. If I wiggled the wires on the pickup I could get it to turn off. I find this strange because my bike was running great when I parked it. My Dyna 2000 was bought in April and only has 500 miles of use. Sending it in to Dynatek so they can look at it. So no CB for me for a couple more weeks at least!
