My trip up to Valdosta served two purposes. First to meet up with the racing members that would be there, and second to recieve the "baton" for the final leg of the US portion of the 2012 relay! More pictures from the race weekend and a write up of some of the experiences have been posted in the 2012 Relay Riders Log thread: http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=104211.msg1295441#msg1295441

Enjoy!

BILLS BOYZ :     If you want the best in swing arm or tail sections have Terry Macintosh Machine Shop here in New Lebanon, OHIO TO MAKE YOU THE BEST MONEY CAN BUY. You must have seen him at his stand on MFG. row at the cup race and many bike at that event had his parts on their bikes.  I got many long arms in my garage that I can measure up for a fit, bought a few at races for $100-200 dollars no car tire ones...... SAM's bike needed shocks to swat the bike [ did you see any other bike in ST ET. with a solid rear end ?????] try that at 130-190 mph, watch those PRO-STOCK bikes shaking and bouncing [ SOLID REAR SECTIONS on a bumpy track ] at the big end= HANDS FULL.

LESSON LEARNED :  Pizza John the PRO-STOCK racer told me to go to the track when it rains and look at and film the low water spots AS THE TRACK WAS DRYING so we could see which side had the most bumps, every time we tested the MSP PS BIKE we ran down the right side of National Trails Raceway and the left side of NORWALK Raceway less bumps and better ET.

Considering the fact that this is a seventies kinda bike and Prince made his debut in the late 70's/ early 80's, i think Purple Rain is more appropriate. Plus it Rocks like only the short guy can.

Somehow i would rather go with Purple Haze, isn't that what you leave behind on the strip..?  Besides Hendrix was easily more 70's and a far better guitarist than Ponce, i mean Prince.... ;D

I guess you didn't see the block and pistons that were delivered to Rick Stetson at Valdosta.

Hey Billy, do you remember I mentioned it would be good if the Manu Cup was at Commerce ?

What time is their curfew ?

Sam. ::)

Commerce has a curfew also. 11pm i think, same as Valdosta. I would like to see it moved back to Gainesville myself. Thats not likely to happen because of the proposed construction of the dragstrip in Americus by one of the Cup Committe members. We will be at Valdosta until that new track opens.
