I'm not sure where the wording 1/4 turn throttle came from, I didn't ask for it. I asked for a twin pull QUICK ACTION throttle, but like I said, let's not worry about it, I can manage if I have to. ( I'm good, ain't I )

Hi Bill,
On another subject, those JE pistons you sold to Dennis , were they 2 ringed or 3 ringed ? I am trying to locate the JE pistons with normal 3 rings or a two ringer with one piece oil control one or the other. Love to know whats available or what youhad.

Well, you are way ahead of me Bill. I'm running out of time as usual to get ready for the Cup race. I've got one project that i have to get done before i can start on my own bike. Still need to address my tranny issue. Might drop in a stock one for now if i can't figure out whats going on with the under cut one.

We start at 8:30 at Cup races, run time trial, then go rt to rd one and then rd two! Love the new format! But we gotta be ready early. Bill

no bikes this time
I have starter issues with the turbo bike. David came by yesterday and we checked the amperage draw to the starter
from the battery we have 13.9 volts at the battery but when we turn over the starter, checking it from the out put side of the starter
solenoid, we drop to 8 volts (Maybe the solenoid?) but we think the starter has gone bad. Don't know why, its only 39 years old

The GS1100 still needs the cams re-timed and the valves checked

The 840 needs the pan dropped and make sure everything is clean and tidy in side and it will be ready for assembly

Ouch! Well, at least we get to run! Yes, and my motto is to work on em at home. Race em at the track, ok a little tuning @ the track. Track should be fun, a couple times it's been work, brakes and swapping converters I'd rather do at home.

But that's RACING!

This year shaping up to be best prepared one yet. If dem Bingo ladies would fork over some more sponsorship $ we'd really be rocking.

Bill, Wilbur et all, is this cup race going to be in Valdosta? and if so are you all saying that you will start racing at 8:30 on Sat? Valdosta not to far away, say an hour and a half, so I was thinking about coming by to watch and help out if you needed. If the racing does start at 8:30 on sat. when do you all get to the track?

Heck yeah! The more the merrier. We're talking April 11th (FRI) thru April 13th (SUN). Test and tune on Friday, racing Saturday and Sunday.
