Bill,
Thanks for coming up to help us out. The pictures you took and passed out were greatly appreciated by everyone. You and Jim were a big help to us just by being there for support- GO TEAM SAM GREEN RACING.

I was hoping to get further in the rounds but i knew Jaybird was going to be a tough competitor so i squeezed the box a bit too much. Had a .011 light in the first time run and then lowered the number for first round elimination for a .003 light. Unfortunately i pushed in a tad more on Jay and the box bit me. Gladys had some good runs inspite of a few mechanical problems in time runs. We got it all worked out and she went to the semis but backed off a litte to soon at the stripe and Tim Sutton got past her.

All in all, a great day of racing, fellowship and family fun.

Pops, they ran 1/8th mile because they were preparing the racers for the team bracket finals in October. The will run the last 3 races on the 1/8th mile. They run the finals 1/8th mile in all classes.

To each his own as far as 1/8th mile or 1/4 mile racing. I prefer the 1/8th since its all about the first 330 and in particular, reaction time. No time for errors or corrections in 1/8th mile racing. 1/8th mile seperates the cream real quick.

Frank, I can see where Richard is coming from. I could never understand why SEMDRA ran over the 8th at Valdosta. ???
If a track is only long enough to run an 8th, so be it, it's no good trying to run a full quarter with not enough braking distance to pull up comfortable in.
I have sprinted over the 8th quite a few times, had a win and a couple of seconds and was never outside the top 5 despite giving away a lot of CCs in the classes.
I only ever drag raced a couple of times in the UK and my best ever result came in an 8th mile event.
I qualified 32nd in an open class event (Top Fuel included) on a 250 Yamaha street bike.
The field was then divided into 4 groups, the quickest 8 into Top Bike, then the next into Senior Bike, followed by Middle Bike and Junior Bike.
I went to the final in Junior Bike but got beat by an 850 Triton.
Have I never told you that I love 8th mile racing ;D ;D ;D ;D no room for error ;)

That is why I never get in the points at my local track = all year they run 1/4 mile then they go to INDY for DIV.3 POINTS FINALS and you have to race 1/8 mile on this long track.....  12-18 hours at a track and you only run 1/8 mile on a long track  2-3-4-5-6-7 times could that be why motorcycle drag racing sport is losing the numbers in the lanes ????? I went one time [ local track ]  and me and one other bike were the only two in the lanes did not even get our money back if you beat the other guy. We asked could we race a 2 out of 3 race [ just to race ] and they said it WOULD TAKE TOO MUCH TIME = about 3 minutes time 3 = 9 minutes total.  We were at the track from 7 am.  to 5pm. just to race 3 times.  We sat all day watching NASCAR on TV in my Motor home and had a better time watching TV then racing at the track = SAD DAY.

NO MARK 2's cranks  as these have been used up by the many KZ racers of the past.  I would think that KAWASAKI could sell a few at their dealerships if they made some BRAND NEW ..............  COULD THIS REALLY BE A HARD THING TO DO ?????  Please :  Chevy make some new 1955 BEL AIRE Hardtops w/fender skirts and the lines to BUY $$$$$$ will be very long and a  2 DOOR NOMAD STATION WAGON = UTOPIA

I knew a guy in the late 70's with a very trick/nice, black/pewter 2 door Nomad wagon. He drove it even in the winter in New England. Always loved that car. Anyway...that's about all I can get out of the last post. ??? ;D

I have a question about the MPS button... can it be used for turning something off temporarily as well as turning something on? It's not turning me on, I prefer girls but I think Sam knows what I'm after  ::)

I was told when I bought the line lock system that the MPS Switch was just for locking up the brake
when pushed in (And you hold it in) and then release it when you want to release the brakes
not sure if you could use it as a "on off" switch or not

but what do I know

That's what I suspected too. Maybe I'll just use a toggle switch to turn the ignition on and off while starting the engine  ;)
