Well,the rear of the rear caliper needed some clearance,as usual Clarence was getting his way!!! ;) ;D Fixed that,then

not fixed in these pics(last night)but while running it it decided to give up 1&4 pick up on Dyna S  :( >:(

Should be working on something else!!

The pick up good one,bad one wrapped with plate,now gotta remake one using good one from Samauto! ::)
Rear brake linelock,grounded blk wire,put 12v in using MPS switch,nothing happens! ??? Switch puts 12v in when button pushed? No Commerce tomorrow night! :(....Ok well maybe,we'll see if Dyna co-operates! Bill

Bill,
     New one on your doorstep Tuesday. Summit can't help me. I called them. Jegs doesn't know if theirs will work the way we want it to. That's better than won't work in my application. We'll figure it out. You've got a pm on this.

MORE IMPORTANT : Does the SAM-A-MATIC ATM have a REV-LIMTER so you will not ruin a head in some freak over revving ???  The 400-450cc matics have a built in rev limiter that at 7200 RPM in L [low ] the bike turns off and coast till the RPM'S drop down to a safe number then bike turns back on and runs fine down the track = found this out at a night race a few years back when I missed the shift light coming on and the motor shut down, I thought that something broke but in a few seconds the bike turn back on and I shifted in to  D [ drive ].  Got a rev-limter and 2-step Dyna unit on a old KZ ZIR frame = like new with dials, will get it to Bill for SAMS or BILLS bike as I got two new ones in the box as a gift from a fellow racer that I worked on his BUSA bike.

Pops way cool.Theres a rev limiter on MC1 box on Samauto,but just installed the rebuilt Dyna S,no spark 1&4,just installed Dyna S off Calendar Girl,still no spark 1&4,rutrow!! Going to bypass MC1 box,we'll see,damn,why now? If box, limiter is built in box!May have to go,somethings up,now to find out,rather be testing @ Commerce as planned! :( Bill
Jon,great news,thanks so much,it will be ready....if it's running points!!!! ??? ::)
OK,Dyna,my apologies,looks like Dyna S on Samauto was OK. :-[

  Sad part no other MSD box,choice of Dyna S and Dyna 3 ohm green or Dyna 2000 with grey 1.5 ohms or another MSD box(Bill's tapped out...they ain't cheap!)
Given those choices, I'd run the 3 ohm coils with POINTS. ;)

OK, if the ignition is sorted, what is the problem with the line-lock? Is it a bad solenoid valve? Open coil, gummed up? Is it a problem with the wiring of the switch?

BILL the WRENCH-SPINNER :  Over the years I saw those MC1 go bad for no reason, talked to MSD rep at dealer show long ago and he told me to buy the NEW - UP-DATED ONE !!!!!  I told him the one we had was BRAND NEW and his answer was send it back = I walk back to the parking garage to my truck and carried back in the bad part in the box, he gave me a NEW-UP-DATED one........... this was at the Big MOTORCYCLE DEALER SHOW in Cincinnati,OHIO about 15-18 years ago. We had a few go bad over those past years and we sent them all back to MSD for repair or replacement. Never had a DYNA part go bad !!!!!  Green coils and a DYNA S ignition made the 1000 KZ'S Z1R run just fine [ 10.90 's ]  stock motor, pipe, 29's, long arm , lowered, X2 cams,elec. shift, and 110 octane AVIATION-GAS =  over 400 PASSES with no problems.

Bill,

I'm putting a bracket in the box for the air shifter. If i had an extra shifter i would make up a bracket for that also and mail to you. Don't laugh at my welding because i doesn't look like Jims. Just get him to grind it all off and reweld-lol. You won't hurt my feelings.I may try to fabricate the bracket for the shifter and you can get Jim to weld on your arm. Its got a funny kick out to it so pictures may not help for you in making one.
