TEAM GREEN :   Talked to JT [ STOPPING BY MY HOUSE ] for Christmas, said he let you run to the 1/8 mile before he busted up out of there and meet you at the 1320' mark at 207 MPH or better.................... the crowd would love that, then you would know how I felt at the NORWALK NO BOX RACE when the car guy came around me at 177 mph and me at 77mph = he lost to my .03 RT. and NASCAR driver worry about side draft, let some car pass them 100mph faster= oh #$%*!!!!

He would need a Top Fuel bike capable of very low 4 second runs to do that Richard. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The young man JT has a real job,and is in school to be a CPA and could not take the time off to go to the last race at GMP............. 206MPH on a bike without a bar is not a bad number. First time he hit the wall was at that track [GMP AMA RACE ] riding in a 1000cc class Suzuki out of our shop MSP, hurt his hand real bad but never lifted trying to get that win running down the wall. When he was 14 years old he was riding Sonny's Busa in the 8's at MARION RACEWAY = their are 5 young men that I have watched them race their DADS bikes since they were teenagers [14-16 ] in the 8's and 9's and I have raced 4 of these natural born killers and the only one left for me to race is Cameron Teasley before I leave this earth. JT has a baby sister and her DAD told me " POPS she is the wild child " on a bike, so you-all stand by for the next homegrown OHIO motorcycle drag racer.

JT is a natural. No question about that. I've seen him ride 4 different bikes, back to back in class racing and win each round, - many times.

I've seen his  [JT ] dad on a no box bike in TG leave with a hand clutch and count in his head when to lift = won the race at at AMA PRO-STAR EVENT with all the box racers on that ORANGE Kawasaki with the same spark plugs in the motor for two years an never checked. It's in the DNA to get those WINS. Homegrown OHIO BOYZ !!!!!

Sam, i'm in for at least 3 of the races as long as there are no last minute work conflicts. Both Georgia races and the VMP race, not sure about Atco or Indy yet. It  could be we can make one of the other.  I've now got a bit of time to get my F model sorted out and tested before the first race. I also plan to build a back up motor from the engine Jim gave me just in case something goes wrong with this one. I don't want to be left out of the SOHC Invasion this time.

Which ones do you plan to make????

Be tougher for me. Indy can be driven to in 1 LOOOONG day if I'm not pulling a bike  ;) 2 days if I ride or pull. Do they make hitches for red Chevys to pull NOS CB750F's? Georgia is perhaps doable as last time.

If it's doable for the team, all 4 of the Manu Cup events. I think you are getting a bit mixed up with the Atco event Frank.(Mirock).
I think I can just about fund the four events and I'm sure I can get into the higher rounds without much work on the bike.
I felt very comfortable holding the bike on the brake at 2000rpm  when in stage. The only issue I had was with the slow action twist  grip which I had to take a second bite at on a couple of runs. A quick action one should overcome that problem and make the bike that little bit more consistent. Other than that, just the front brake needs looking at. The front disk seems to have warped a little and caused it to bind on the last run I made on the Saturday, after we prised the pads back it was OK but it needs looking at as I couldn't use the front brake until after my run.
What do we think Guys, can we manage all four events ?

SAM :  No problem with INDY. got a HOMEGROWN OHIO boy living in Avon about 10 minutes from the track = owner of FAST LANE CYCLES on GASOLINE ALLEY RD. been racing with him from day one and if you-all need a dyno = he got one at the shop. Be ready to go downtown Indy. on Friday or Saturday nite to see hundreds of bikes on all the parking lots and riding all over the downtown. I'm Going to the NO HATING DRAGRACING events this year as most of these folks live all around Ohio and go back to the old dayz of IDBA.  You guys never heard about Muncie Ind.  "THE DASH FOR CASH " races that they had in INDIANA put on by TIM MILLS ????  Those were the best money and good days at the track events for the year and well attended by many racers just like MIR on the East coast.      INDY. is not my favorite track and if you folks ever get to race at NORWALK,OH. then you will see why this track is the best in the land.

PS. I'll bring JT - CT - BT  the bad brothers of motorcycle drag racing.  They will be hanging around my motorhome looking for a firehouse meal and my girl friend cookies.

I'm told that the front rotor was narrower than stock on the bike. (easier to warp) It will be replaced by spring. There may be a logistics issue for transporting your bike to 4 events. Unless my situation changes, I'm out for any events. There's hope this month, but nothing's guaranteed. If things change for me, I might be able to get you a 'matic for the Virginia event.  When the rear brake is sorted out, that's an ATM bike.  APE is taking applicants for some bike sponsorship as I read on Dragbike.com. Might be worth checking out.

Hi Jon and Richard, It's only in the pipe line at the moment. I think I will be able to fund getting to all the events but It's dependent on if Billy can make them all.
I looked at the distances that you would have to travel compaired to Billy and I  would be a sad bugger if I accepted your offer.
Indi is twice as far for you and VMP almost twice as far. If Billy can make it then it'll be on but I don't want you trying to dive those sort of distances.

The rear bake is not an issue for me, like I said, launching from 2000rpm is easy, why make more work for Billy when I am happy with that. Letting go of the clutch (rear brake) and turning the throttle is more natural to me than letting off a button and having to jump up and down on a foot peddle after full stage. Why complicate things ???
