Damn Frank, why did you go and do a thing like that for?  ;) ;D Now you got me thinking! I'm not going many rounds with a non tested turbo bike, and I am going racing. ;D I'm heading out to put trans in Calendar Girl( hasn't ran in 6 months), but hey, let's try and go some rounds, long ride for a couple nice burnouts and then bog off the line or not be able to launch consistently....so I'm putting Calendar Girl in the 11's before I put Purple Rain in the 10's! Damn, being practical, but makes the most sense. Probably,no I will install Dyna2000 and try to fix a couple other little things! ;D Bill....and you can help me finish the air shifter!! ;) ;D

Sorry my friend but you know i'm always stirring it up. I do know i have seen Calender Girl make passes. I do know you and that bike become one after the burnout. I do know a turbo bike without all the bells and whistles is one of the most inconsistent bikes around as fas a bracket racing goes. I do know for a fact that riding a short wheelbase bike with lots of power can turn into a hand full unless you've got tons of passes under your belt and balls as big as those on King Kong. I also know, as we age, our balls shrink-lol.

Not trying to discourage you in any way, i'm simply throwing logic into the mix. Because this is Sam's last go round, it seems to me the team should be "on point" from the word go.

Now i'm going to put my crank and tranny in the cases and stop these worthless posts. Hahaha
Dang Frank
and my turbo is almost finished and was hoping you would be the test rider for 10Lbs of boost on a short wheel base bike

Jim,

No issues with test riding it- its bracket racing that wouldn't allow it to be the most consistent, unless....

Ran at 7pm, 72f air, 140 oil, ran 12.33 on a 12.31 dial.
Don't ask the reaction time, I was busy having a nap. Haha.
Back on track at 8.30 in the morning, off out for some food and a few beers and an early night.
Billy ran 12.8 on Calender Girl but pulled a red and didn't really push it after that.

They're back at it today. It looks like the rings on the 915 kit that Bill put into the Hondamatic are finally seating in. They were racing the Street ET bikes differently than last year as they started at 7 PM and ran round after round without the long waits that we're used to. Sam broke out in the second round with a shut off 12.18. He was 3 mph slower at the finish line than normal as he had covered his opponent and slowed some by the finish line. So it looks like the bike has a little more left in it. Using the knowledge from yesterday's racing, they should be a little closer in dialing in the bike for today's racing. Bill making it to the 4th round on Calendar Girl was very respectable. Frank should be racing his SOHC Honda today. I suspect more updates tonight.

Great weekend! Just got home about an hour ago. As for today's racing... Sam had won his match-up in round two and was headed to round three. Bill was eliminated in round two, so I was able to leave Sam with a full-time mechanic! More in depth reports to come...

just not tonight!  8)
