Too cheap for a quarter fairing. Next best thing (smaller than Sam's head) is having the tach break the wind.... :o

Is everybody ready to race in Virginia next month??? We've only got about 30  days left for preparation. Heck, I'm so far behind on maintenance it's a crime. Billy, do you have a good 77/78 F model tranny in your parts stash on case I need one???

I just found out that I need intake valve pockets to go with the exhaust valve pockets that I got done on the last trip to the machine shop. The first trip started with machining the rod pocket on the bottom of the CBX pistons so the rods would fit. CBX rods taper at the top. With a stock K cam, the valves cleared with a stock head. I'm now using a ported head that may have had some milling done. With the 295 cam, the intake valve hits now. I'll be at this up to the last minute it looks like.

If all else fails.....it won't! You can do it! Samauto went from 836cc on a Sunday night to a 915 on the dyno on that Friday morning! And that was after doing the bottom end Sat and Sun.When we saw 87.07 rwhp.....it was worth it! ;D when you in staging next to the " one and only " Sam Green, it'll all be worth it, where the arrow points will be up to you and Sam! Sam will be leaving first! Haha! K. Bill

Axle and tires...maybe yes! And bearings repacked. No axels, no tyres! Two spares, both flat tread auto tires like we put on down there....it's z best I can do!  ;D The tire we put on in Valdosta showed no wear after trip home, other axles and wheels got sold! ;) 8) Bill

Bill, you'd better keep it below 60mph! ;D
Hope you guys do good.  I am sure I will not make it to Virginie.  Somthing to do with money and conflicting schedules.  Would like to improve on the points, though.  Currently 9th in SuperComp.  Oh well, there is Atlanta and the second Valdosta Race.  Good luck Sam and Bill.

Still haven't touched mine. Last minute thrash as usual I suppose. We'll have an instrument to play with the band one way or the other at VMP.
