Love the new avatar Jim! How'd the dyno wind up? You done?
It's never done
Replaced the regulator/rectifier
Changed oil/filters
Re-jetted mid range and bottom
End, and made adjustments on the
Clutch
Need to re-route the breather hose
Phoned Brian Livingood today and should be
Ready for round two on the dyno next week

And I just bought this and my old receivers won't fit
And yes I like my new truck

Having braved a break in the snow, I talked with Mike R. a week ago. One topic was on stock Hondamatic fibers in the clutch pack. When you load the motor against the rear brake to drag race a Hondamatic, the fibers in the low gear clutch pack take a lot of stress. The results are that you get a lot of loose fibers in your oil. Frequent oil changes help to minimize the amount of fibers floating around. If they hang around too long, you can see wear on the skirts of the pistons. Racing 1/8th mile, I always have changed the oil every three meets. If I were to go quarter mile racing, the frequency would be more frequent.
I'm now using the Honda civic car clutch packs in my drag hondamatics. Do they work better than the bike factory packs? Ask me again after a few events this summer. (If it ever comes ...  ::))

Can't get that truck down here Jim, but I did manage to get hold of one of those big diesel motors.
So I jammed it into my Landcruiser.  ;D

Cheers,

Is that a Chevy  Duramax what 6.6l i think? I work Cummins by trade and would stick a 5.9 or 6.7L B-engine in a Toyota Landcruiser if price and rust played no part. Million mile motors, but from what I have heard the Chevy V-8 Diesel is fairly robust 'cept for a few years where the injector seals would give and fill the crankcase with fuel. Worked with a Asphalt paver that got his warrantied at 200k miles for the third time  :o
Diesel deeds, done dirt cheap

It's time for Samauto II. So I'm going to add to this thread. It's where it all started for me! Thank you Sam Green!K.
Replaced throttle with 1/4 turn Tommaselli,  new grips and relocated in my face the air tank pressure gauge.Fitting CBX750 Australian carbs now, Using 77/78K boots. Needs a Sam Green approved tach, different front M/C. Different tires front and rear.Starter motor and pieces. Cleaned off stickers and numbers on body work today. Like what I'm seeing, mucho potential! Bill Goutta replace lh switch assembly also.
