How about a couple of plugs for the top of the springs to stiffen the front end some? It reduces the wheelie tendency.

By the way I have a set of vintage leathers (actually British Cycle Leathers) in very nice shape that one of you dragracers might be interested in. They won't allow me to wear them for what I'm doing so thought I'd mention it.

A real set of leathers, brown with black/white stripes down the sides, very chic. pics on request!

Any sign of the seat yet Billy, It's 3 weeks this Thursday since I posted It.
I know you had Thanksgiving holiday and a few weekends but they told me 5 days.
I'll not be online much untill Thursday as I have a Funeral to attend this afternoon and I'll be down southish most of Wednesday.

There is a huge custome backlog getting stuff cleared into US, this has been going on for several weeks now.
Anything under 3 weeks is quick for parcels, some stuff taking 6-8 weeks.
In the UK anything over 40 years old only needs insurance and Fuel.

Sam, i received some reliable information on the dates of the first SEMDRA race.
It will be March 19th with test and tune on the friday before. They decide to change the format from 1/8th mile to 1/4 mile for street ET in 2011. MIROCK has not released their officlal schedule yet but i'm sure the SEMDRA date will be a conflict. Since SEMDRA is only a one day race and MIROCK is a 2 day race, you might consider doing the race at Rockingham to get the biggest bang fro the buck..

Thanks Frank, Mirock have released their dates and are March 19th and 20th and April 30th and May 1st.
I'll have to hang on to see when the Manufacturers spring date is and see if it fits in with either of the Mirock dates.

Sorry to hear that Sam, I saw Jason Millers post. You can still run it in pro ET. It pays more anyway. If not, come to the SEMDRA race instead. I feel they will let you in with no problems since you likely wont be a regular anyway. I will call my contact there and get you an answer.

Pics later,F/end painted,rebuilt and back on.Wheel was 0.00 on all 3 balance modes even Hi speed!....with no weights! ;D.Fender and tank went to painters today.Old wheel assembly was 30.0 lbs.,new one 27.4 lbs.that's as you bolt it to bike...axle etc.Sam,the British are coming must have scared them! ;D
Controls feel fine with current lever placement. ;)

Hi frank, problem is, Both Bill and myself will be riding the bike. The Idea was for me to run Street and Billy to run Pro, can't both ride in same event.

Yes, it can easily be made to run Pro ET. You just need a line loc in the rear brake line. You use your delay box with that to cut more consistent lights. Purists don't like the line loc without a box running in street et, but it's legal in most places. When you decide where/when you're running, I'll help with whatever setup is needed to be competitive.

Hi Jon, there isn't a problem with running in Pro ET apart from the fact there is only one bike  but with two riders. The Idea was for Billy to ride in one race and me in the other. If we go to an event where both classes are being run, the tech people would take a dim view of one of us riding in Street ET with all the trick bits that are only allowed in Pro. :(

No delay box  of any kind is allowed in the MIROCK series in pro ET or street ET.

The MIROCK race is a 2 day event with 2 seperate days of street ET and pro ET racing. So.... you can ride the bike one day and your partner the next. Or.... just come to the SEMDRA race and stick with your original plan so both of you can have some fun. Problem is, SEMDRA is a one day event versus two days for MIROCK. Also, MIROCK is 1/4 mile in all classes except 5.60 index. SEMDRA is 1/8th for pro ET and will now be 1/4 mile for the 2011 season.

Sounds like you've got some choices to make my friend.

                SAM and everyone else, I think i found some good news for ya !!  ;D   I hope this will clear up the questions about running
