WHY AM I STUPID ?  Isn't this info i posted good news?  Or did i miss something ?   ???   Marion Ford is on the rules board and states
that your automatic that came stock on your motorcycle will be allowed in the stock et class.  Right ?   ;)

Streetbike ET is only for hand clutch bikes anymore (all bikes must utlize hand clutch). No scooters anymore either in Street ET. You can run an automatic bike in Pro ET though. It will just create too many problems with the majority of the class and why they are not allowed sliders if we allowed automatic bikes in the class. Your bike or scooter is within the spirit of Street ET, but the problems they create would not be worth the aggrevation they cause with 99.9% of the racers, sorry. Just enter Pro ET.

SAM,  I know you were just kidding.   :D ;D   I thought that the chap that's on the rules board stated that bikes that came stock with automatics would be allowed.  Oh crap !  I see what yer talking about.   :(   Someone always has to gum up the works.   >:(

Sam,
The delay box is the part only allowed in Pro ET in most sanctioning bodies. Running the same bike in Pro Et and Street might be allowed or not. They don't wait for you to get back to race in the other eliminator. You will also heat up the oil by not letting it cool down between rounds. If Pro ET doesn't allow delay boxes, you will be much more competitive starting out. Like I said in my earlier post, I can set you up anywhere/anyway you want. If a sanctioning body allows you to run both Pro and Street, the Pro driver would connect the delay box to the bike before he raced it, and removes it when he gives it back to the Street ET driver. Never seen it tried, but I don't think that it's illegal.(except in sanctioning bodies that don't allow delay boxes in Pro ET) The only question to ask is what's the maximum allowed ET for Pro ET racing. You'll probably be in the 12's, which should allow you into most Pro ET classes.
If you decide on Valdosta on the April 8 weekend, I might be able to get one of my bikes down there. Available for whomever doesn't have a ride for that day. I'd prefer to set it up for Pro ET than Street, but can do it either way. The only downside is that I'd be there with a lot of advice? You just got to decide where/when.

More likley someone from the USPS, Last year I sent 3 recorded letters to the US, all three reached JFK sorting office then vanished. The cost to send them was £18 which I got back but our postal service wouldn't reimburse me the full total that was lost, I was £150 out of pocket.
To send the seat was £35, with tracking would have been £60. What's the point of paying for tracking if it don't get past the theiving USPS. >:(

Sorry Mick, you said it was off a drag bike. The class we run in is street ET and although you can dress bikes up to look more dragish, I'd preffer to keep it in the spirit of street. We are allready in the dog house with the automatic side of things, turn it out like a 70s top fuel bike would really pi$$ people off. :D :D :D post a pic anyway Mick and we'll take a look.
