No one ever let me be in front when taking pictures

I suppose changing my name to little Jim just wouldn't do

Just damn

Hey, you were in front of me in that pic. I was on tip-toe right behind you! OK, I wasn't really there, but I was there in spirit. Looking forward to hearing more about the trials and victories to come of the SAMAUTO! :D

Will be doing battle with a host of mad Victorians for their state title on the 9th and 10th of April.
Pat, Paul and all the crew are coming along as usual.
More late night's and to many beers, I'm getting to old for this sh!t. ;D

Oh....thanks again for the cleansing ale enjoyed it immensely.

Cheers,
Brian

Hi Scott, there should be some news Saturday PM. Bill and Jim have the bike booked in on the dyno that morning.

I was looking at the times for that first round loss that I had at Rockingham. I lost by 58 thousandths of a second.
Had I turned closer to the reaction time that I had been putting in in testing and qualifying, it might have been another story. :(

Hi Sam
I hope this isn't going to turn out to be one of those fisherman's tales. It's a bit of a bummer to loose by such a small margin, but it's great when it's the other way round. I once got fastest time of the day at an NSA sprint at the Pod by three thousands of a second. Spiffing!
Great thread this. I've been following your exploits and congratulations on a job well done to one an' all.

Are you perchance going to the sprint at East Kirkby next Sunday?

Cheers

Yep, we think so.
The motor is back in the bike.
Damaged gear change pall and pins.
Damaged detente fork.
Dogs ripped up on third gear (Main shaft).
Fifth gear chewed up(Main shaft)
Bolt mounts ripped out of the clutch base plate.
Other than that it was fine. ;D
The Cycle-Ex clutch locker seems to be the culprit.
We will run it again but we are going to leave all the bob-weights off the fingers.
Mike seems to think it's worth a try and so do we.

Cheers,
Brian

How did you manage to do that Billy, you made a right pigs ear of that post. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Hope your keeping well Bro, looking forward to Sarurdays results. The power might be a bit down due to the fact that the motor is still a bit tight but the main thing is sorting that fueling on the bottom end.

Guys, i got a call from Keith this afternoon. He was distraught. It seems between the time he left for sork this morning and around noon, some azzhole thief came along and stole his trailer with his bike and tool box. This wiped him out as far as race stuff.  I think there were some pictures of his bike posted on this site by Jim or Sam. Please take a look back through this thread to familiarize yoursleves with the way the bike looks. Its a CR500 Honda 2 stroke- very unique.

Contact Voodooracer through this site if you ever see this bike.

All i can say is i can't stand a damn thief!!!!!!!!!!!

Sh!t I hate that.
I feel for Keith.
I've had my trailer, bike and gear stolen from the back of the pub twice.
The second time the oxygen thieves took my truck as well!
Had them returned unscathed both times, thank God.
Hopefully Keith will get lucky.

Cheers,
Brian

Not sure he even has the will or desire at the moment to build another bike. I gave him a rolling chassis back in the summer with some parts to build a KZ drag/street bike. He was so bummed out at this loss, he called me back later today telling me to come get the stuff i gave him because he was done. Now i've been knowing Keith  a long time and he never gives up. This is the very first time i have heard the sound of defeat in his voice. I feel bad for him and hope somehow, some way, his bike will show up in one piece. Like Sam said, as a whole, it is not sellable but then no one really has a use for those unique parts on the bike either. The thought that all his hard work will get sent to the scrape yard for pennies on the dollar screws with my head.

Can you guys post another picture  of his bike in this thread?

Thanks everyone. If I never go down the track again, I'll at least  have the memories (well, some of them anyway) of the terrific folks and times over the last 30+ yrs of dragracing bikes.
Now, enough of this patter, back to Samauto and our regularly scheduled programming.

Keith, I got the sad news late last night as I was about to go to bed, I was gutted for you.
I posted about the theft on Dragbike.com in the hope that the more people know about it, the more can keep their eyes open.
When I finally got to bed, it took me ages to drop off, just foul words going through my mind.
I do hope the police catch these scumbags and lock them away for a good while.
If there's anything I can help you out with just PM me.

Regards Sam. ;)
