Don't suppose you boys would want to borrow my NOS 1080 top end I have sitting in the basement? Cylinders bored and ready. I think that white jump suit Sam wears would have a brown racing stripe on the back  ;D

From the left 736 61mm, 812 64mm, 900 67mm, then 1080 73.25mm. My 1000 piston didn't make the picture.  ;)

I would leave as is on the mains Billy, and the gearing won't make any difference on the dyno results so don't panic. ;D ;D ;D ;D

How high did you guys ever get it to stall anyway?. I forgot to ask.

And don't forget the weaker diaphram springs- ooops, did i say that already? Big cam, not enough low rpm vaccum=weaker springs.  :-\

Frank, or John,  :D  It was stalling at 2,800 before we altered the timing curve. It went faster with the correction of the curve but dropped the stall speed to 2,500rpm. It should be up around 4,500 to 4,800 I think, JW will give you the exact rpms.

Your only nearly 9000 behind. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D get your butt into gear Mr Benton.  :D
The last few weeks have been something of a miletstone.
The Samauto taking to the track after 15 months of painstaking work by a dedicated crew and helpers.
This thread recording 1,000 post and pushing 27,000 views.
Me reaching 10,000 posts and I've just been informed by Benly Ben, one of the teams junior riders that he has nominated Samauto for bike of the Month, thanks Benny, you should be in bed at this time. ;D
A great big thanks to you all for putting up with me for so long, buy yourself a nice long drink on me. ;D ;D ;D

How high the motor will rev on the starting line is a direct function of how much torque the motor makes in the rpm range in question. I've never got any of my combinations over 4,200 rpm (1080 cc motor with small cam) More torque around 3 grand for this bike and it will really wake up.  I don't think that the 836 motor has the power to make 4 grand. I'm guessing  high 3k launches with everything right. We have to have consistent 60' times to have an ATM. Right now we have a top end bike that will give grey hairs to anyone who has to give it a dial-in.  It will be nice to know where our challenges are tomorrow.

Frank,2600-2800 rpm's.
So the higher stall speed was with curve #1, correct?
