Looks pretty sharp.  Is that an Airtech fairing?  How exactly did you figure out exactly where to cut the hole for the alternator?

This is one bada$$ bike!  The more full fairings is see the more I want one. It's shaping up beautifully.

Thanks guys!

It's an MV Agusta re-popped in Holland. I made the front bracket first and got the front where I wanted it and then hung the back of the fairing off of the tank with tape. After that I cut a small circle where the alternator is and just started making the circle bigger and bigger as I saw more.

Last we heard, you said the 592 pistons and head were at the machinist's.  Any problems with the pistons' fitment?

No problems whatsover. The real pita was fitting the HD CB750 cam chain. That only goes on in the exact right sequence as far as I can tell.

Next up is the more tuning!! With my old 4-2 exhaust even with pods I had things pretty smooth through the entire range but because of the fairing I had to switch to a 4-1. Now it's fine after about 4k but the 2 - 3.5k has some flat spots and that bugs me....

Fairing is on and I'm pretty happy. I haven't had any high speed trials with the new Works shocks yet, but buzzing around town she feels very nimble. My only concern at this point is heat. The bike definitely  runs hotter with the fairing on but I have a oil cooler kit coming from Terry and I imagine it should help out a bunch. That and this bike really wasn't built for cruising around town anyway. The next projects are sourcing a new LIon  battery (I think I've chewed this one up over the last year) and a removable rack that fits over the bump so I can strap on camping gear.

Thanks! Very impressed, the head has a mild port and polish and there is a 650 cam in there as well but the whole package is a very nimble rocket. There are two 550's and and two 500's in my shop owned by my buddies and I've ridden all of them at various times this year, the 592 puts them all to shame. The difference over the entire rpm range over a stock 550 is very noticeable, especially when being aggressive with the throttle.

@Rick and Retro - Thanks guys!

Oil cooler installed. Took a lot of fiddling with the bracket and the steering damper. Ended up almost two inches higher than my first attempt. Pretty happy with where it ended up. Going to watch the thermostat. If still too warm I think I'll be making a pair of scoops for the fairing to direct airflow towards the head. We will see.

Oh and Terry's billet adapter looks awesome. It's going on tommorow.

Well done. You did a nice job fitting that fairing. With it installed the tank looks like it belongs too.

Overall me likes.  ;D

Damn!  This build was a Creeper!!  It started slow, but picked up major speed and turned out AMAZING!  Very nice work.

Learning how to weld. This was project #2.

The center stand and spring must be worth about 5lbs. :) The mounts are staying on the frame though.

Thinking about doing some advertising on Anna. I figure being a GP style replica a logo won't look out of place and the bike does get some attention, why not. This is my company's logo etc.

I mocked up a couple of ideas in photoshop. Thoughts? First? Second? Bad idea?

I like the 1st one (with the logo)...... looks more like an actual sponsor add than the 2nd one.
