Not specific to Australia, but the CB750 Super Profile published by Haynes in 1983 lists the following for UK models:
CB750F2 sold in the UK from June 1977 through May 1979:
Engine No: CB750GE 1000016 - 1012651
Frame: CB750G 1000014 - 1015084
So that frame number would match up with the UK version of the CB750F2. The US market F2 (1977) had a frame number starting with CB750F-2100011 and the F3 frames started with number, CB750F-2200001
The best match for the engine I can find comes from the US model data I have online at
http://www.sohc4.net/?q=node/1201977 CB750F engine: starts at CB750FE-2600004. The next series in the US, the F3 has engine numbers starting with 3100001.
If this bike was originally shipped into the Australian market, it is certainly possible that they used the same frame designation as the UK bikes and engines that were in the same serial number series as the US models.
I have a more comprehensive chart for K model numbers worldwide at
http://sohc4.us/?q=node/122. I do not know where the information came from, but if anyone can get me similar information for the F models, I'll update the website.
