Hi all

Well acouple of weeks ago i snapped my top yoke(overtightened it) and when i went ot get a second hand one from some guy, he had another 2 bikes, which i hadda get.Well i got em for 500$.

History, well the orange-red one is in the best condition, but the owner died crashing it. :(

R.I.P mate.

And i am going to be using it for parts.Don't ask me why parts is ok , but putting it on the road isn't.
I'm not really superstitious, but this way it feels ok in my mind.

My daily is a '74, and i want to make her original, so i have taken a whole lot of photo's hoping you guys could identify a few things(and year and originality.)
I have an F2 which i am cafe'ing(not shown) and of the two that will be left in the photo's i will probably make a track bike.(Vintage racing)

So the questions regarding parts which will make my 74 original.

1:I this the correct tail light assembly for a 74?

2:Which is the correct left hand switchgear?

3:Are these the original shocks?

4:I have a locking gas cap and a non-locking one, what's correct?

According to my ancient parts book the big rear light is correct for 74 as is the LH switch with the dip.
Non locking catch is standard but the locking one is all that is available now( just not that one cos its not a honda one!)
Seat looks "modified"
Shocks look original as does blinker setup, as to clocks cant tell

Personally, I'd just rebuild the red one, no use parting out an ever harder to find bike due to superstition. Bring it back to life.

i like the seat on the center bike, not something you see every day.
Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.

I'd rebuild the red one too, looks damn original and just cos some other poor bloke couldn't stay on it doesn't mean it is haunted. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

In that last pic, I like the added after-market security option on the seat.  And the "chic with beer" option is also a nice add-on.  ;D
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Fun and games 'til there's running and screaming. ;D

Does anyone know about the clocks for a 74 having the signal lights built in? or does it vary country to country?

That was a 69-early 71 feature only.

On the red bike you have a crash guard at the back - next to the rear shock - if you plan to sell those could I buy them from you? I am looking for something like this for my `74 in preparation for a RTW in 2011.

Thanks
Andy
