Hey Big Jay,
« on: November 28, 2009, 06:34:48 am »
what gives ? I was helping Mike Rieck building a motor. He left to me the task of fitting the APE heavy duty cylinder studs.
#4 in the instructions said, " lock two 8mm nuts onto the studs and torque down up to 8lbs".
I went to get a couple of nuts and Mike said "here, use this instead" He gave me a stud insertion tool which made the job a whole lot easier, I really need to get one of these tools for myself, have you any idea where I can get one ?  :D :D :D :D :D
I think you need to change the fitting instructions for your heavy duty studs and get selling these insertion tools, they are great, beats messing around with nuts all day long. ;)

Sam. ;)

It's just an insertion tool Colin, saves a lot of time not messing about with your nuts ;D ;D ;D

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D  My only criticism is that the Allen key in the end was an American size and not metric, >:(  I suppose one of the old English keys that I threw away about a hundred years ago would have fitted ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  I'll be ordering one ;)
